The new body style is beginning to grow on me, but I just cannot get over the placement/shape/size of the mirrors on the 15's...
That doesn't look that bad from the standpoint that the passenger compartment is still intact. The FD did a nice job on popping the doors and cutting the B pillar out too. The Subaru B pillars can be a real bitch to cut.
Isn't that kind of a traditional placement on Japanese cars? They are pretty freakin big though... Maybe there's a potential for swappage of some sort.
I just don't like the flare on the front bumper. It just gives off a weird look when you're looking at the car from the side. Also the tail lights but a simple overlay can change that...
Kind of, I suppose. I feel like these resemble the new Honda Civic's...eww. I would rather they got rid of the 1/4 window next to the A pillar and put the mirrors there. Just look goofy as hell and out of place coming off of the door like that.
They won't move them back to where they were before. They are less aerodynamic. I can't find the article, but there is one about auto manufacturers petitioning to allow camera's instead of side mirrors, as the traditional placement, and less so the newer door placement, has become the most un-aerodynamic part of modern cars.
I never realized how bad it looked until i did this... Looks like it just kind of grows out of the middle of nowhere on the door.
