Next week I'll be picking up my new 2016 base model Impreza sans foglights. When just doing a basic Google search, I only come up with the option of the factory fog light kit which is $300 and probably in need of an upgrade anyway.
Of course, there's all kinds of hits for the WRX.
My biggest question is, can a WRX kit be used on the base Impreza?
When I do part number searches on all of the more recent models, the obvious results come up, different part numbers based on platform i.e. all WRXS seem swappable, impreza and crosstrek seem swappable, etc.
But the one thing I keep seeing in diagrams is the part number 84501B pointing at the fog light housing. So, since I've seen that number point to an Impreza applicable housing, and to a WRX applicable housing, am I safe to conclude that a 2015 WRX fog light will fit on a 2015/2016 Impreza?
Subispeed has a nice affordable looking kit for the WRX from OLM, that I'm interested in. Anybody have that kit that would be willing to test on my Impreza when I get it?
