So with me being fairly new here, I have yet to be to the LaX cruise, but I do have something I feel I can contribute to the event. It turns out I have a fairly close connection with the owner of the La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway. Would there be any interest in me getting in contact with him more if we wanted to do a club speedway day? Whether it be the same day as the LaX cruise or not. Just spitballing here, but I think it would be a fun idea if we could get enough people and have the track to ourselves for a day.
I would think that would be an separate event. Having gone a couple times now to the LAX cruise it is a jam packed day as it is.
I am the creator of the LaXCruise and this is our tenth year! Hopefully you can make it to it this year! I think that it is a great idea for a separate event! Or if we could get the track for Sunday, that could be a possibility. We usually have about 10-15 cars that stay and camp on Saturday night that may or may not be interested in going to the track the following day. Although we all have our cars packed with camping gear and whatnot. Lol PM me and we can talk more about it! Uhh, yeah. Maybe like a timed relay event. Based on the number of entries, you could draw straws, get assigned to a team, then take turns making a complete lap from a stop to a stop. Have a passenger that rides with as the baton and has to pass from car to car (preferably at a stop, I guess). Essentially could have each person that wants to track be able to drive their own car. 4 ish cars per team.
Josh gets passed from car to car and tent to tent. Although his nickname in HS wasn't exactly "baton..." More like Fingercuffs.
The track is pretty small. Nothing special, just thought it might be something to add to the event. What all is in the event list for the Cruise?

Nooooo.... this was the year i didn't have anything going on in June or July so i could finally make it!
This past year was probably one of the scariest times I've driven a car. And damn that golf that was on a donut hauling a trailer was tearing it up.
Ha. Liar. August is just fine. Give me an extra month to make sure my car is "finished"! This was far more terrifying than any amount of rain we could have gotten. Donut + trailer + rain = a pile of broken Subaru.
