2nd annual fall dyno day-RS Motors Oct, 23rd

I'll come down for the day. No dyno for me this year, but ill probably be coming down with a friend who will want to dyno.

 

I think the list is up to date. Keep em coming.

 

Trust me, I wont have to worry about it until afterwards. Anything before hand would be a wasted attempt. But she is a great girl, she just thinks cars are a waste of money :crazy:; but she knows it is my passion and nothing she can do about it. So game on!

Sorry, for the late post. Haven't been on here in a while.

 

Watta bout a dyno and tune? Or would I have to ask ron for an extra charge w/ the tuning?

 

Just dynoing cars that day. If you want a tune, schedule one with a tuner, road or dyno.

 

Any new details like a final price or time frame on the 23rd? Just curious because a friend is also interested, as long as his paint is done on time, even though it's a Evo and not a subaru.

I have a pm sent to ron so we should have those details shortly. Pretty safe bet planning on it being 50-60 bucks and going from morning 10-11 until early evening 5-6? everthing depends on the amount of people who want on the dyno(more=better)

As long as the price dosn't sky rocket (not that I think it would) Count me in. And add a possible second in case my buddies EVO is ready, he was seriously interested. I'll post up yay, or nay if anything changes for him.

 

I will be there, but I'm always there, so it might not really count as me being there, because if I'm always there then there's no point in me saying I'm going to be there, when I'm already there anyway.

is it going to be run like it was last year or is there going to be a little longer gap between runs being they were kinda rammed right together last year.

Hard to say how things will go. The problem (or blessing) is that we have so many people to get through in one afternoon. Hopefully the weather will be nice and we have plenty of cars dynoing/hanging out that people will do some socializing outside and we can wander in and out to see the cars on the dyno.

I'm no expert but it seems as though something can be done to keep the car in place.

yeah. Might as well get a baseline before I do a full exhaust next spring Plus then I can see how this compares to my old Cav Z24 I dyno'd in High School

 

Buddy backed out, decided to get his car tuned for e85 and there for will not need a random dyno run so soon after getting a tune. said he will probably still come out to hang out though.

 

Count me in. It's been awhile since I've been on a dyno... I'll need to get my Fred Flintstone feet going.

Thanks everyone! looks to be a busy event again. I'm probably gonna quit adding to the list as it shows we definately have enough interest. please even if you are not on the list lemme know if you plan on coming down to hang out or dyno. If anyone has special scheduling needs or if you're one of the ones traveling super far to dyno I'll make sure you get on otherwise it'll be like last year-get there early, sign up on the sheet and enjoy the day.

Do you guys know if the stock screw in tow hook on a 02 RS would suffice for strapping purposes? I've looked at it and have my doubts.

Well I'm confirmed to dyno, caught a lot of local interest in joining us, possible R32, rebuilt f150 that can't hold traction in the 1/4, and maybe a camero, but the wrx will lead the way see everyone next Saturday

 

The sti we were going to bring down just broke a second drive shaft shop axle. Won't have a replacement in time for the sti before the dyno day. We might take his wrx down but not sure as of the moment. I will update. with a yes or no on dynoing a car when I know for sure.

 

Glad to see you guys haven't forgotten about this. Let's all cross our fingers for pleasant weather. * I've been get more and more interest in a few non subarus dynoing which is fine but I wanna make sure we get our subaru driving brothers and sisters on first if they wish. That's fair....right?

They do not use the factory screw in tow hook to secure the car on the dyno. They use other locations, at least that has how it has been every time i have been there.
