So, I lightly bumped my right front bumper on some snow in a parking lot tonight.

Turns out that said "snow" is actually "concrete" after that thaw/freeze cycle, and cracked the livin piss out of my bumper. It's not repairable, and it really pisses me off. I'm not sure whether the fog light / tow hook cover inserts will stay in there, so I'm thinking I'd like to replace the bumper.

Anybody know how much a good used or new third gen legacy bumper costs?

I'm trying so desperately to think of this as "well now I can add those foglights I wanted" but I'm so disappointed I could just puke...

I would do a 'blitzen' front bumper, but that's just me.

    or a baja bumper?

You probably just need a bumper cover. Probably about $200-300 unpainted. Aside from getting one from Subaru (don;t forget if you join MNSubaru you get a 20% discount), there might be an aftermarket cover available for under $200.

Welcome to the broken-ass bumper club! Sounds like the exact same situation with mine. I got lucky and found someone else with the same year bumper that I have. Just need to get it repainted. Ask the Morrie's guys in the vendor thread how much a new one runs for.

I agree. Make sure to drill out the end of the crack to prevent it from spreading though.
