NOTE: I will make hotel arrangements, you just need to pay when you get there Well its time to start getting things set for the 3rd Annual Duluth Trip. Last two years it has been a great time for everyone….twisty roads, beautiful fall colors, awesome resort, and maybe some off road mudding if we feel like it! Morning: Meet up at firestone at 9:00am SHARP and leave by no later than 9:30. For those of you on the north side of the cities we will meet you at Target in Forrest Lake at 10:00am. We will leave Target around 10:30 and be on our way up to Duluth. On our way up we will stop at a few rest stops for pictures and getting the group back together from separating on the highway. Afternoon: In years past we have met at Chux’s house in Duluth when we first get up there but this year I think we’ll find another place so we don’t have to completely back up the roads around his house(and probably annoy his neighbors). At about this time everyone is ready for some eats so we can do a quick lunch. After the quick lunch we will head over to Barkers Island Inn for check in( http://www.barkersislandinn.com/ ). From the hotel we will take a drive along the infamous Skyline Drive for some more fun twisties and great photo opportunities with Lake Superior as the backdrop. We will then head down to Canal Park for some more pics and maybe we can convince the wagon guys to drive into the lake again Dinner time: Head to Grizzlies for some good grub, socializing, and starting the party(especially Rich). After Dinner: All the hotel rooms will be bunched together so it’s a great time to just relax and, if you want, drink a few(or a lot) of your favorite beverages. The hotel has a nice pool, hot tub, and bar so there is something for everyone. Last year all of our rooms were on the balcony of the pool so basically we took up the entire wing of one side of the hotel and basically partied in the rooms and hall way. The hotel is pretty cool about us being there as long as the crazy stuff stays in the rooms and not in the hallways. Sunday Morning: We have a few options here…we can either drive up the north shore further or we can start heading back home but stop at the rally trails on the way home. Its really up to you guys, both are fun. ok works for me. i can start posting your room arrangements(however you want them) in a few weeks when we have more of an idea of head count and what not.
Beth has to work that weekend, but she is going to try and trade with someone and or take the weekend off so we can make it, we will take our own room if we both go. if it is just me, I will try and bunk in with someone.

i'd like to get a shirt made for the trip this year....it would be nice to have something else to remember it by. all the profits would go to charity. phil...maybe a vector'd image of the duluth bridge with the words "3rd Annual Duluth Cruise 2007" on it....doesnt have to be those exact words but something like that. i'm envisioning black shirts with white image/lettering
of course, then i don't have to drive up there myself, well the gf might be with but at least i won't be a lonely car then:biggrin:

fast food lunch when we get up there initially: 6 dinner at grizzlies: 10-15 sunday morning: usually we just find food at a gas station so we can get on the road quick
