3rd annual MNSUBARU Dyno Day @ RS Motors 10/8/11

im in! just requested the day off from work! My subie is tuned so probably no dyno for that but ill have a contest with someone to see if they can score a lower hp # than my 240sx haha.

 

Im in. If I get my new stuff installed I might hit the dyno. If not then Im coming to watch. I just had a dyno/tune last week

Do we have to sign-up prior if we want to pull that day? I'd really like to be there to pull, but my schedule and money situation are pretty volatile right now, lol .

Nope, the closer we can get to a true headcount helps with planning but I'm too nice of a guy to hold people to it or demand a pre registration. Next year this may be different

Cost has not been locked in %100 It's been hard with little confirmation from people. but $50-60 bucks is a very solid bet. Yeah, If there are some camera skills available that'd be great. We really just want to make sure we get some good pics to show off what we can put together.

Who else wants in? I'd like to see more people interested in coming down and hanging out too. It's gonna be a busy day for the guys(or guy) at RS. If any of you folks that have spent a little time around the dyno/shop wanna help out a bit, it would be much appreciated.

I just got my WRX STi. I'll be there to meet other member and see what the car can do.

Just got the day off, so I'll be there to spectate. I MIGHT do a dyno if I have the funds. It would be good to have a base if I decide to do some upgrades in the spring.

 

Any recommendations for food? I'm always hungry and a 30 minute break in the middle of the day would be nice. That's a lot of cars to drive in one day.

Anyone have a good map link to RS? Everytime I look it up I'm getting strange locations. Oh and start getting your cars in tip-top shape, we don't want anyone failing to reach their top #s or something worse cause you got lazy at the last moment.

 

I have an alignment with Jeff that day. It could take forever considering how many adjustable parts it has now but if it's not too long I will go a bit farther south and stop in.

 

I wonder what my I6 4.0 can put to the wheels.

I'm wondering if I can get a few miles on my new truck before then to see what it'll do. This will be the third year my car will remain unchanged(really don't need the same dyno results again)

 

I am in. Carl is gonna help me put some front hard points on my car tomorrow. I am very interested to see some numbers. I gotta leave early so dibs on an early slot.

 

What all needs to be done before we strap it on???
A short pre dyno check list would be great.

Off the top of my head it's really just some basic stuff that should be done this time of year anyway.
-all fluid levels shoulds be checked and topped off. This would be a good time pre-winter to change any fluids you've been putting off for some time.
-tire pressure set(no special settings just not double or half factory settings)
-lugnuts torqued to spec
-boost/vacuum leaks taken care of.
-check change or wash your air filter.
So as I said before just a basic "once over" will work.
