It would have been cool if someone made a list, but I didn't see anyone doing it. Maybe RS will be able to post the numbers and people can fill in what their setups were. I don't really remember a lot of them, but here's off the top of my head: Buddyswagon - 02 WRX Wagon - Stage 2 219 WHP / 215 WTQ Moleness' Car - Rotated setup (by Fobia), Borg Warner/Bullseye Power S259 (like a GT33), drop-in CP pistons - E85 445 WHP / 394 WTQ SurlyOldMan's Legacy - Stage 2 - Pump Gas ??? Do you have the WRX with the VF39 and EWG? What fuel are you using? I think I got a video of your car. I'll post my photos and videos later.
Yeah, I got a video of yours. Mainly because I love how the EWG sounds Just so no one else gets their hopes up, I only took video's of istoptofly, SurlyOldMan, Moleness, and my car. There were other people with camera's set up though. I'm sure there will be plenty of photos and video from this event
I got video from Moleness to the Corvette. Working on getting them all up on YouTube. I got mine and Moleness posted so far. Might of gotten Mole's year wrong on the description. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wGu1N7nR4wo&hd=1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1jmMa4_1hjc&hd=1 *HD links Look for the rest tomorrow.
Added both to my list. I did get some shots of your car. They'll be up in a minute. Unfortunately no video. Looks great!
Here are a few of my shots. The full set can be found here (videos are still processing): http://benjohnson.smugmug.com/Cars/20111008-MNSubaru-Dyno-Day/19419628_Nc9q3b/1518929568_XH5T722 *If anyone wants photos of their vehicle or themselves removed from my site, please let me know!
once everyone had left the dyno room i payed up and they straped down my wagon it made 240hp @6300 and 212tq @3850 with some boost issues and in need for a tune and e85 =) im a happy camper
What a day! I was surprised by the size of the turnout. Good people, interesting cars, good vibes. HUGE thanks to RS Motors for having us out, and to BadBennyB for organizing and executing the event flawlessly. Anywho, here's how the leggy did: Kind of a wacky plot, but not at all unexpected. It was fun to see the reaction of the guy doing the pulls when he attempted the first pull in 4th gear. I warned them the gearing was basically the same as a wrx 5MT. The second pull was then done in 3rd gear... 4th gear pull: 263whp/335wtq 3rd gear pull: 250whp/315wtq
Here is another video; Istoptofly. Let me know if I get your car wrong in description. If anyone doesn't want their video posted up just say so. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0LPEcWjIDLQ&hd=1
Good to see everyone today. Last minute I put the 08 LGT on after the encouragement. (automatic) 209 whp/229 wtq **I have posted about Scoobies for Boobies and where to donate! Let's try to raise $300 this year!! Check out the post in the MN Event Center forum** Thanks!!
Well Traded My 08 in on friday even drove home in my new 2011 that was unloaded friday afternoon with 5miles on when I picked it. went home picked up a friend and brother, drove 80+ some odd miles srtapped it to the dyno with 111 miles. best pull 242 ft-lb 241 hp base line check, upgrades on the way.
I think this one wins for pulls that surprised me most. I've heard the wrx was underrated, but damn... Curious to see how it responds to mods. The hello kitty STi would have surprised me more, had I not been standing where I could see what was going on under the hood...
AMAZING photos Ben! It was great to meet you and all of the other members that attended. I had a blast and left there humbled with some of the cars that I saw today. Thank you RS Motors for hosting this and my hope is that we can continue this event in the coming years.
Just wanted to thank badbenny, Ron & The RS Motors Crew for doing this again. Had a great time there. Saw a lot of of familiar faces and some new ones. Congrats to Bee & Matt & AJ for highest HP cars of the day. Oh yea, thanks for the Pizza Pizza!
The 2001 Corvette Z06 was mine. It made 446WHP 400WTQ and still gets 30MPG hiway It has PRC stage 2.5 cnc ported heads, Texas speed 228R cam, Ported Throttle body, XSpower long tube headers with catless X-pipe 3-inch, Custom side exit 3-inch catback by FOBIA (matt haynie), Vararam cold air intake. And a tune by Doug Rippie Motorsports.
I don't normally care for vettes, but that one definitely got my attention. What the hell does that thing rev to? I walked from the front of the dyno at the start of a pull, to the far side of the parking lot, and probably could have damn near made it back before it was done destroying everyone's eardrums.
It revs to 7k. And in 4th gear its about 145-150 MPH. It was dyno'd in 4th gear. When people want me to rev it so they can hear the exhaust I tell them to plug there ears but they usually chuckle in disbelief. That then turns into wincing and ear clutching.
Thanks to Ron, Matt, Pete and Mike for running the dyno and hosting the event. Thanks to all the folks that came out to spend time together. It was a good time. Can't wait to do it again. Was there a prize for most power laid down? Our car and Bee's tied at 526 on the money. Here are our results: 2.35L Stroker, Borg Warner Turbo, AEM EMS, RS Tune It only made 526whp which is a decrease from that last date with the dyno. We believe it developed a boost leak as boost came in way late. We have a video from that day, we will post it later.
Thank you so much to RS, Ron, Bikerboy, Pete, Kong, Mike, and my Fobia. That was a crazy tie with Adrenalin Rush! 526 whp 470 Torque EEEEeee!!! I shouldn't have that much power...
Thanks again to everyone who made this possible. RS and badbennyb especially. Everything went really smoothly. I was impressed how quickly cars were turned on the dyno. Now, for the real question: Who won the raffle???
ACT Clutch, 740 Injectors, Blouch 2.5 Dominator (Pickle) Turbo, Invidia Down Pipe, SPT exhaust, Perrin 22mm F/ 27mm R Sway Bars, K&N intake, Cobb Accessport, Cobb Shifter, Strut-Tower Braces
Thanks again everyone who had anything to do with this. You guys at RS are awesome, I hope it didn't feel too much like work(though you did plenty of it) We've said it in the past but we are really gonna work towards making this more of an "event" and I think we have the people and commitment to get it done next time. It's nice to see some familiar faces as well as the new ones. I hope everyone who made it had a good time hanging out or at the very least enjoyed the pizza (and cupcakes, thanks Bee!)
Looks like I have some work to do to keep up to those numbers. My tune was messed, but said 297 whp....Looking to do injectors and e85 and see what happens with that. Good meeting some people and look forward to meeting MAP in November for the suspension work.
