what isnt left to do on the dsm lol all it is right now is a shell sitting up at my dads, an engine at a friends house and a tranny at my house lol needs a lot of work, too much to do in a couple weeks, although i wish i could have it out, maybe towards the end of the season
Sideways doesn't usually score you good "times". But I have moar fun sliiiidewayz.:naughty: Also, I still need to get some decent tires. Hahaha, at this point, i could use the summer tires! And it would be less work than putting on the winters which have the same or less tread. lol. "Should I bring my trailer?"...Nice one Mike!
I will be there for sure. I'm going to have to see how the new tires and a little experience help out with keeping up with Joel and Carl.
Should work out fine with Stick being in a different class than I am. Except I haven't figured out her price yet!
Lol, no that's my price. That and hand massages, but what happens on stage, stays on stage . I'm starting to get the feeling she was feeding me that to create a new patient for her dental practice. What kind of Dentist feeds someone Diet Pepsi and Sweet Tarts for two days?!!!
Hey now! I never forced you to eat that! Whose bringing the sweet tarts to the rally cross? If you feed them to Amy on Saturday...her teeth may be sensitive on Sunday and distract her...might work?????
Wait a minute here! You're supposed to be on my side! We needs Mayhem's achilles heel, not telling them how to bring me down. While not the pirate's code , keep that up and you'll get the title of "Wench"! Amy
Wow, check out how the GravelCrew in CA is bringing in the sponsors with promotion and a prize pool for their RallyCross series. http://www.specialstage.com/forums/showthread.php?t=32216 Very cool.
I have been called worse! I never said I was on anyone's side (though I am married to Stick)! So you are saying that could be your weakness?????
Yeah, we could really use someone with the right skills/contacts to go after some sponsorship options for the LoL series. Need to find someone in the advertising biz and get them hooked, they'll have the right contacts...
Just dump it at 6K! Easier on the clutch than slipping it. Never mind the rest of the driveline. If I couldn't break mine......
You already know mine. It involves a certain rally tradition, modified for certain participants. To say more would make me seem more creepy than usual. Mark
C'mon...24 hours without name calling or thrown gauntlets. Let's get with it people!!!!!!!!!! Or have you already conceeded the win? Mark the pot stirrer (is that a word?)
All right, who told Joel to accelerate through the finish line? I thought we were going to wait until next year to tell him about that. Amy
uh, you did. you said something about it when they were announcing the results at the last race.
I'll be there! If someone is willing, I will put $20 towards day of gas for any race car that I might be able to drive. That being the case... It's on like Donkey Kong!
mark already knows my offer.... still waiting on an answer, i think he might be a little.... scared??? lol
Yes, scared...that's it. All I remember is you offered to drive the car as long as I didn't. Tempting for sure.
the offer was a trade for Amanda for 4 days in vegas lol scared was just continuing some of the trash talking lol
Wow. Considering you can get eventmaster points for free, you're clearly selling her off at a steep discount... And Mark already knows her secret weakness (ok, well not so secret anymore). My offer is this: if people can help me get my car ready by the event, that frees up vehicles for two drivers (one to share my car, and then I wouldn't need to share Brent's, so someone else could perhaps share it, though that would be up to him). All it needs is the windshield bar bent & tacked, roof bar bent and tacked, drop the main cage and weld all around the tubes, door bars, rear stays, main hoop diagonal and horizontal, and mounting for the seat. Other than that, it's all ready to go Could even be entered in M4 (but I'd run M2)
I just found out that my special guest driver WILL be coming to the event. Some say he was raised by a pack of rabid wolves. All I know is I call him Stig's skinny assed older brother! BTW, if you saw the look on Amanda's face when Kevin made the offer, you wouldn't want any part of it. There would be blood....and lot's of it. Plus, I'm gonna steal her fair and square.
im not too worried about first place points as i am not going for the championship i got last year, i will let someone else win it. where are you doing the work on the sentra? i may be able to help.... let me know
I'd be more than willing to help the Sat. before the event. Unless you want to haul the car up to Fargo? That goes for Carl and his clutch.
Well, unless I can get most of it done this coming weekend, I don't think there's much point in working on it the day before the event, as I think it's got a good 2-3 days of work to make it ready. I'm hoping I can make some good progress tomorrow since my son will be at his grandparents' place during the day (so I can work with good light), and I hope to at least get the windshield bar and roof bar bent and in place so I can return Mark U's bender. The real question is: is my welder up to the task of welding the cage? I'm having a terrible time getting any penetration of welds that are out of position. My welder is a cheaper model, but is supposedly a straight copy of an older Miller 135, and is very well reviewed. Mark U thinks it's the welder, I think I can't be sure until someone who can weld a lot better than me gives it a try. The car's at my house in South Minneapolis. It's outside, unfortunately, so weather becomes an issue. Once I do the last few bends (and get the bender unbolted from the middle of the garage floor) I should be able to get it inside to finish up.
I understand that. If I actually lived less than 4 hours away from south Minneapolis I would gladly come and help you. But of course there's that whole class thing.
i work everyday this week but would be willing to come help next sat or sunday if you are planning on working on it then...
i didnt realize you were in fargo too. wish i could make it down to this one. the pictures from this site make it look pretty dang amazing. and the smack talk makes it sould like a lot of fun will be had.
A lot of fun will be had! This is a great site! There is no doubt that a lot of fun will be had, especially considering the Stig's skinny-assed older brother is coming
Not to put down this site, but I think you are thinking of the other Cannon Falls site (which probably has a full crop of soybeans growing right now). This site has been compared to the site at your parents' farm. Similar size and shape, but a much different soil (lots of clay, quite resilient). When the soil is damp the traction is amazing. When it's wet, it's non-existent. Haven't seen it completely dry yet.
nope this is the one i was thinking of. i loved the way the whole place looked. it does remind me of our old site but with more space.
