sweet! I don't care if I have to run on bare rims. I WILL be there beating the snot out of her.:naughty:
And let us not forget Jim in the truck, there is no contest when it comes to flying boogers if the truck is around
this is true. i would like to think i do ok at throwing some dirt too but not anywhere near that level
That so reminds me of the movie "Blazing Saddles" when the Sheriff goes to strap on his gun to go fight Mongo, the Deputy warns, "Oh no. Don't do that. If you 'feed' him, you'll only make him 'faster'".
When I stopped to get more parts for my car tonight, I tried to convince the Stig's skinny arsed 'little' brother to come out and share my Legacy next weekend. Could give his older brother a run for his money. Though he would not doubt beat me in my own car. Amy
Yeah, you should work on seeing how big of rooster tails you can throw. I'll just be working on actually trying to go fast.
I think us noobs need to see the rally-family tree, including nick names. I usually have no idea who people are talking about.
I usually do timing and scoring, but no, I usually don't have the stop watches...I write down the times
What's the easy way to take 32 lbs off your arse? Swap out the bumper with the class 3 hitch welded to it for a stock one! Unfortunately I did not think to remove the bumber beam while I was in there. Darn it. Had a lucky break too. Something in the engine was making popping noises when I got to my friends shop. Really had us baffled and a bit anxious until we took off the alternator belt and voila the noise stopped. Quick walk to the cars behind the shop found an alternator on a Legacy wagon (it had a strange hole in the roof where someone took out a sunroof sized oval of steel). Quick swap and it was fixed without even getting stranded We spun the bad one up with the air hose and it was really bad. Amy
Got next to no work done over the weekend on the SE-R. Just the HVAC stuff back in from changing out the heater core, and the center-console support braces. Got the wiring in the battery compartment done for the battery relocation (two distro blocks, 1-2g. x 4-4g., 3-4g. x 4-8g.), and the 2g. battery cable is run (but not fastened down yet). Nice cushioned grommet for it to pass through where the A/C used to come into the car. Battery box is in place, though I ended up pulling the bluetop out to power an inverter when we lost power on Sat. Need to decide where to mount the 250A breaker and the distribution block that will be in the back of the car (for things like the radio, intercom, etc that will do better the more isolated they are from the rest of the car). And run a new ground wire to the block. Then put the dash back in, harness bar, seat, re-attach bumper beam (and figure a way to get the bumper cover re-attached to that), and I should be good.
hmmm, should I go? I am really thinking about it. although it would be nice to have a relaxed weekend with no plans for a change....
You will be glad you came. You can relax on Saturday and play in the dirt on Sunday; sounds a perfect weekend to me Carrie
