494 694 loop lap times

    co-workers and i were talking about the 494-694 loop and lap times came up.

    We were wondering what is the average lap time, and the fastest (unticketed:biggrin: ) lap.

    please add comments or times, trying to get some other peoples input.

    one of my friends from my old work does that with his audi friends he said they average about 100 but i dont know how long it takes them to get around

    If you are going to do this. And I don't recommend it. You will need to set a time of day that you will do it. Simply because the traffic around here is a predictable monster. You can't go do the hot lap at 4am on a Saturday and then brag about it to people that did it during rush hour traffic.

    Oh, and I'm always up for a rally of sorts. If you want to make it fun, make the speedlimit a requirement. If you can't go above the posted speed limit then it becomes more of a thinking game.

    But I do agree that a hot lap of the cities would be fun...but you didnt' hear me say that because EXCEEDING THE POSTED SPEED LIMIT IS BAD! AND SO IS RACING ON PUBLIC ROADS.

    OH haha, that would be funny. Find out the mileage of the 494 - 694 loop, then divide it by 20. That'll give you the total number of hours it should take. Person to get closest to that number wins the prize.

    I think the speed limit challenge is a great idea, anyone willing to try it. Post your time.

    Time it took to make a lap, date, and time of day.

    example: 6hrs, XX/XX/2006, 4 pm.

    remember NO SPEEDING

    Lets start a for real thread for this in the Events section... with a clean list of rules...

    I'll go start one now. Then I'll update it with times and such as they come in.

    You just need to remembe that there are so many parts of the loop under construction that some area's are going to take 20-30 min just to cover the 4-5 miles. Good luck with that.

    I vote for a big :biggthumpup: as a prize. you really can't offer too much as it may urge people to risk their lives/driving records not to metion the other motorists. I wouldn't bring this up to too many people if you want to stay under the radar. Wasn't it last summer that everyone was doing this on their bikes and the coppers caught onto them?

    i dont think a prize should be necessary, i mean, someone could post up some time even if they didn't run it and i dont think they want someone to try to speed just a bit, to try to win a prize, this should all be for fun

    no, stuck in traffic due to a huge accident meant i was at a stand still for quite some time. clock stopped at like 2 hours. :(
