Good Times! Hot Day! W00t!!!! Good times rippin around some country roads testing some G-Forces... Thanks for showin us some nice hills and curves Matt! Pretty awesome view of the Mississippi River valley down there! Bump for a must do! Nice mettin everyone! -Marc
man i had an awesome time today too. thanx for the hosting the run matt!!! hopefully i can make the next one.
Glad you all had a good time! I wish I remembered my directions sa we would have covered some really cool roads. I think we had some nice areas but next time will be alote better.
well, dont think a lot of people saw me attack the corners like crazy flooring through them. I was trying to get the car sideways at some 10mph and 15mph turns but i think because of my dead front endlinks all i got is under steer. I think i was bracing myself to much and my neck hearts now. I REALY what to go next time. Thanks Matt so much for organizing this trip it was great!
same roads as last year? those were some amazing roads. didnt think there were roads like that in mn.
Tara no pun intended but from being the last car to observe the rest... yes you do need some driving tips LOL
OMG so much fun today guys/gals!!! I definitly want to tag along again on the 21st, thank you so much for organizing this trip!
Taras, actually I just need reading glasses... being the oldest members and the OG of this site, it's time to get my eyes checked out soon LOL. Shoot, you didn't read either huh? LOL... hence my Title says it all. Matt, once again... thanks for the many fall fun run, I've ran with you for the last 5 years and haven't missed one of these events... yet LOL.
Update: Pictures will be up by mid to end of the week. I know you guys and gals are looking forward to it.
That was a blast! Loved the roads. Also love the way the car runs. See ya next time, like next year. My son liked it so much, he threw up. I think it was from all the crazy turns, hills, accelerating, and braking.
people should bring more radios with them on tge 21st. It woils be intersting to compair the drive when i get my kartboy front and back endlinks and the steering rack bushings.
Wow, this sounds so fun. I wouldn't have made it on the 7th anyway, but am I still too new (green) to come along with you guys on the 21st? I would still need to check if I have anything else that weekend, but if I say I'm goin, I'll go for sure (assuming I'm not still too green). This would probably be my first chance to meet with you guys too, since I usually don't get out to firestone.
For the most part. I got sick on Sat. night and forgot to grab my maps brfore I left in the morning. So we should be back to just about the same route as last year.
You're not too green. Last year's Fall Fun Run was my first experience with the club so I don't see any reason why you can't come along. We have a drivers meeting to discuss things before we head off. Just remember, the fun run isn't a race. It's some aggressive driving through some back roads
Thank you! I found out that she handles pretty well too. I can't wait to see the pictures, i bet that they look awesome!
I almost took out some vegetation with my front bumper on one of the turns:eek3:. I need to driving training.
I don't think I'd be winning any races anyway  It would be fun to find some more fun roads that I don't know about. But that is good to hear, I'll check my schedule tomorrow and confirm if I'll be comin.
You should come for sure. You will have a blast. One thing i thought would have been nicer if we stopped more often. We really like every 45 minutes or so.
Are you asking or stating the obvious? Cuz I know I can always use more training. I know OB1 has alot of great routes that keep drivers out of trouble and he sets the pace to help ensure everyones safety. You do anything beyond that and you're on your own. Dee Dee Dee
Yeah, i think i actually need to learn some tips how to drive better. I would love to take a course on extreme driving or something like that.
I dont know of any places, all the stuff I do involves RACING! There are many events posted on this forum, just look for them as the dry season comes to an end the wet and slippery season starts, I'm sure you'll find an event that will suit your needs. Enjoy!
Well that might be the best thing for you at this point. No offence, but if you drive like that the next time you will likely be the one in the ditch. I was able to watch your driving out of the mirrors through several corners you might want to practice being smooth. Try and make the corner with the least amount of steering input concintrating on your apexes. The conditions will be much worse next time since the roads were clear of leaves as well as warm and dry. Next time there will be alote more leaves and I would bet it will be cold and damp.
Those are big words Chong, I wish I were able to do that. Unfortuniately, I am only able to provide that to my passenger as I am in control of my car. All I can do is stress to others to drive within there own skill level. Sadly, I forsee the day when somebody really damages there car. Let us not forget the others who have hit signs and made runs through the ditch. No really bad damage yet lets try and keep it that way.
yeah, I was doing it on purpose. I was trying to slide the car in some of the turns that I felt were safe to do it. I like taking corners smooth but its fun to make the car go a little side ways too. I realize its not very good for the car though so next time I will hold my self back from doing this kind of stuff.
I'll be going to the drive on the 21st. However, I'm going to ride along with instead of driving my own car. To ensure the peoples safety around me! I don't think I'd be too comfortable driven on those roads with you guys going the pace you were going last week. I'll bring my camra to take some pictures though!
