No. I had to work last weekend. But my fiancie (sp?)( manochromatic) went last week and said it was a blast. He drove the rs. I saw some video of it that they took and it looked pretty sweet! But I could tell that it was a little fast paced for me. He also said that I'd probably be happier as a passanger! I'll take his word for it!
You mister.. Shut it! I'll wuss out if I wanna! I'd rather know that I'm being safe and keeping the people around me safe then pushing my own limits too far. You should go! This will be my first one. I'm sure you and I could both keep up!! But if I was to drive I'd rather be going at a slower pace!
Yeah, safe is all I care. Taras is talking about trying to be the "KinG 0f t3h drift0rz!" I'd stay FAR behind him! hahaha. Other than that, I don't mind being at the back of the pack.
If anyone gets out of hand I'm sure Matt will send them packing. Safety is #1....IT'S NOT A RACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You want to drive slow...then by all means do it....just stay in the back of the pack.
I wouldn't say all that Dave. I like the spirited. Just don't want to slow anyone else up in my 'weaksauce' near-stock WRX.
:biggrin:sorry, didn't mean slow as in my grandmother driving type of slow...just meant slower than the front of the pack.
I can't imagine why you would have trouble dorifto in an all-wheel-drive car... All 4 wheels should be spinning like M4d then, right? The only way to get better is practice, practice, practice....
I dont know, i kept getting lots of under steer and too much grip in the back. Might be because of my bad front endlinks?
Ok, looks like I'm in the clear for the 21st. Put me down because I'll be COMIN :rockwoot: I shouldn't be hard to spot. Blue GC RSti... this'll be her first twisty run post-swap. I can't wait.
Mines not much either Josh, but it is a blast and your gonna be sorry if you dont come next time. Take my word for it, you wanna go. Maybe next time I wont have the stock tires to squeal every time I turn.
Just jdm v5 engine + blingin koyo rad + LWFW + clutch. Power-wise, it's all stock, and I mean from the airbox to the muffler tip - all stock. But even stock STi power is pretty fun in a 2dr GC with RS ratios, at least until something breaks  I'm confident it'll be fine for this run - I've already flogged it deep into wisconsin and back a couple times and I daily drive it now with zero issues. It'll be garage stored over the winter though, so this will be the last chance I get to have a fun drive with it. Next spring will be TBE + 4/2 pot brake setup + I/C spray + PowerFC + tune. Maybe STi pink lateral links + trailing arms + alum control arms + alum hood + LW bumper beams. Nothing too major
Shoot....Vic and I were constantly the last car. We kept up fairly well, and I'm just an average driver with a near stock WRX. But this is just speaking about me...Vic, on the other hand...when we pulled over to switch spots, now he knows how to drive. I'd say we were now about a mile or mile and a half behind, he managed to catch up, in my stocker, to the group within a minute and half through all those turns. Nothing wrong with being the last car. You can drive as fast or as slow and don't have to worry about slowing some people behind you, that' all.
Pictures? You guys talkin to me? I don't have that many good pictures (they're all blurry), but I'm comin to the fun run anyways, you'll see it there  Meh, fine, here's some. Halfway done: Done: The real donor car from Japan (you can even still see the grounding kit):
I understand everyone wants to see pics. Vic has been very busy this week and even busier this week-end with family stuff. So if it's ok, I'm confident he'll post when he has more time.
Is this a round trip back to the cities in the afternoon, or is it an all day journey? I am supposed to be at work around 2 and am having a tough time finding someone to cover my shift.
I am really excited for the 21! Will be very careful thats for sure. and I WILL take my camera with me and i WILL post the pictures the next day!!!
Word, I may be able to get one of the morning people to stick around for a bit longer so I can come in late. That may kinda suck to have to come back into town and go straight to work, but I really don't want to miss this.
Ugh, it looks like some rain on sunday. Won't know for sure until it gets closer, but rain is gonna suck when you're tryin to take twisties.
I'm back out. too much going on with a installation this weekend and car care for chuch, I can't justify playing all day sunday. I'll go if there's a third run in november.
Nope, I'm gonna make you wait  LOL! It'll be up soon, just had a very busy weekend and my work load just started up again. Who knows... might be up by tonight  LOL!
oh heck no.....it's not you, it's me. yours will be a piece of cake and won't take long at all. I realized I have to do my own car too. I beleive I now have a broken top hat and/or strut in the front...thanks to Skyline Drive in Duluth, man that was bumpy.
^ probably the only good thing about rolling my car, is that didn't have to drive on that ****. =/ hope you get that fixed soon.
