Short answer is the car is manually shifted. Long answer is that a manual valve body is a valve body in which any computer control has been removed, thus forcing the user to manually initiate gear exchanges. This action is generally actuated by mechanical-over-hydraulic control mechanisms.
Simply yank the lever to the desired gear with no clutch needed. That combined with the proper application of the right foot = win.
I'm just describing what was happening during our run...... Sounds good hearing that exhaust as you past by!
That's one very fast Subaru there Dipp. This run was on street tires? Also looks slow coming out of the hole. The s2000 was cutting 1.3 and that's RWD. When are you gonna try and actually launch it?
"it got booted" -- They asked you to leave because it was too awesome for them to handle, or is "booted" some kind of racing term?
You got beef? I was in the video with the fastest and first 9 second Subaru built and tuned in MN. if you got a problem with me commenting on this special run, bring it! Is it wrong for me to say I let off? did that offend you? If I wasn't in the video I wouldn't have said that. Damn... Chip off your shoulder
Talk about a chip, lol. My beef is your incessant posting about how awesome you are in everybody's thread. Have a little tact, please.
Don't you have a thread for that? In all honesty Fuji is a good driver and a nice guy. The cars you were driving are in no way the same. The car size, weight, engine, transmission (auto vs manual), and tune are worlds apart. Both people were in the video. No one is saying anything bad about Dipps' car or driving. So who cares if the other guy says anything, he was in the video. I have seen nothing but respect for Dipp. I was standing there taking photos and video of his car @ MAP. Everyone who was camping with us, including Fuji were there to watch/support him.

I think you intended to quote my post. I never said Fuji isn't an excellent driver and a nice guy, so please do not put words into my mouth. Since I do not have a financial interest in what anyone here thinks of me or my affairs, I call it as it is. Overrunning the forum, including others' threads, with self promotion is poor form. Take a look around at what the rest of the shops on this forum do; they act professional. Obtrusive self promotion drives people away, which appears to be a problem on this forum.
