So I've been looking around the forum for a while now, other websites, and I'm looking for some nice aftermarket struts. I'm in no hurry to get these, I actually am thinking sometime this spring, but so far I have only found KYB GR2's although I'm looking for more than just an OE replacement, I've seen a lot of people talking about D-Specs's but to my knowledge they don't have any for my generation Legacy. Just looking for any input and advise for this, like I said, no hurry with these, just doing some research right now, Thanks.

impreza struts from the same era will work just fine.

i have a set of AGX struts on my 95 legacy wagon and they are great. had GR2s on my FWD legacy sedan and they were a huge improvement. also have AGX on my 94 turbo legacy and they are great on there too.

a good set up would e a set of KYb AGX struts with some Ground Control coil over sleeves and springs. that way you can pick the rate.

what is your end goal for the car?

My end goal is to have a daily driver, that I could take to a track on the weekends and be very competitive, nothing huge and overzealous rally car, but one that could at least stay close to the "big dogs"

get some AGXs from ebay for a 2002-03 wrx, buy some used aftermarket springs locally, and do not buy tein. theyre honda springs. like Mr. Donovan said, AGXs are a huge improvement over stock and a bit better than the gr2s even though the gr2s arent a bad shock setup at all.(i own the gr2s and am happy with them).

i threw some intrax springs on my shot stock impreza wagon struts..you wouldn't believe the improvement actually even with shot struts..if i got some AGX's i think my car would take corners that were litterally L shaped at 90mph

Are you talking about strut top mounts? I'm assuming so but just making sure.
