Hey there, i'm wondering about a bird-chirping noise that's coming from my engine. it starts to chirp when i accelerate and when i'm at a full stop or i've parked my car with the engine on, it'll start chirping again. when i'm at a full stop and the chirping noise comes on, stepping on the clutch(even a little step on it) makes the noise go away but once you let go of the clutch, it starts chirping again. any help? thanks.
Could be the throwout bearing or clutch fork. You can relube the pivot points on the clutch fork, that might help. This shows how to lube the two pivot points. When I did it on my last car it was worth it to take off the rubber boot so I could see into the bell housing and make sure I got the lube on the ball pivot inside there. http://www.northursalia.com/modifications/drivetrain/creak/creak.html
