yes, sheen's new car may actually be better than bacon
oh ****!! :yumyum:
Super awesome! Congrats!
And we know how good bacon is!!!
Sheen, this is my jealous face.
I want to throw my two cents in also. I stopped by Sheen's today to leave some drool on his garage floor. I did just that after a snapped a couple pics. WOW...nice ride!
Far greater than bacon
Not bad. So what kind of snow tires are you getting?
I think I still prefer the look of the 996 over the current 997 911's.
don't laugh. AFAIK he is planning on playing in the snow with it :yumyum:
265/35/18 and 225/40/18 lm60s on 18x10 and 18x8 sport editions is the smallest I've seen.
Sweet pics Carl and Brandon!
Congrat's on the new boxer, I didn't know you had bought a new ride, she looks deliciously sweet!
awesome car. i like the way the gauge cluster looks
would'nt of happened to get that from a dentist up in fargo ND by chance did ya??
but seriously, very nice car!
Can one compare bacon to an automobile?
meh....will he show up for shananigans??
great ride though
You know I have to take it around the block...and race some sti guys
sheen, the driver side carpet appears to have some specs of dirt on it.
cool pics, nice work carl
These cars have pretty normal ground clearance for being a high performance sports car.
First to-do item: Paint front "lip" body-color. It helps A LOT.
UGH, Sheen you rotten bastard. Last time I talked to you you said, and I quote "I don't know, we'll see if I can swing it, with the money I got from the STi I might pick up another Legacy or something."
Then this thread surfaces.
I agree. However, the car is still pretty damn amazing as-is.
What the hell carl, where's the picture of our feet behind the car???
Sexy car sheen....
Awesome! Autox this next year?
I think I need to start selling drugs. (not saying sheen does!)
meh, I like bacon more than the car.
haha, Sheen, J/k man! Love the car. jeeeeeesus!
Thanks for the comments!
Come on now, Eli. The clear side markers were here before the car!
Bumperettes and front lip will be painted next Spring. Still undecided on rear spoiler (want to balance out the front end weight reduction), rear wiper delete, (hellaflush ) wheels, and overall aesthetics... but I have all winter to think about that.
I still want a legacy wagon or obs wagon. Probably next fall or when the exploder explodes. Whichever comes first.
Solid power band and linear power delivery, but it's slow in a straight line.
My favorite angle:
I, too, saw this in person, and as good as Carl's photo's are, it's even dead sexier in person. Grats, man!
oh yea, sheen I forgot to ask - if I buy snow tires for it can dave and I use it for recce at sno*drift?
Nice car Sheen. There is all this talk about snow tires.... are you gonna get some Winterforces and bring it to Cannon Falls some time?
lol i dont think winter force will ever have a market for a 285 wide winter tire...
but sheen might buy them
Looks awesome Sheenis. I hope you are as happy now as you were excited when I was up.
My bday present to myself came early:
Which means melt the rubber thats on the car now so I can put snow tires on the stock wheels
Lefty likes the camera apparently.
What size did you go with, Sheen?
I am going to guess: Big and slightly bigger ;-)
stooopid cat jumps in every picture... better than foot pics lol
stuck with stock size 295/30/18, 225/40/18 since upsizing to gt2 spec would negate the 6lb per corner weight loss from the aftermarket wheels and the only decent
tires in that size are Kumho XS... meh.
I might buy a spare set of oversized matching fronts in 255/40/18... gotta wait till next year's tax return money comes tho lol
all u need now are seats/harness so u dont hurt ur self at the autox
 yea, it is a violent, angry car with 0 leg bolstering. Maybe once warranty runs out... Dunno if I wanna give up the nice lazyboy seats for a couple autoxs and track days a year tho.
I wanna drive that thing....... Yummy....... What are power figures on that year?
too slow and too quiet lol 420ish. I think they make 350-375awhp stock. With a flash they seem to typically make 400-425whp and 475-500wtq depending on the tuner and dyno. Stock clutch starts going around 500wtq, so upgraded turbos won't happen until I can afford to do clutch at the same time
damnit... now I want coilovers lol
imagine my relief when the wheels were mounted and despite the lower offset, were not totally hella flush
that looks so nice, put some coilovers on there and you're good to go
I still prefer bacon, but this should help:
hoping it warms up soon so I can install this along with new plugs and coilpacks.
