wow, Nate. I am sure you are only going to pay less. Or I don't know something about you and you make over 250k a year. And about sex to kindergartners(sp?), please come on it's total BS. Democrats want to teach kids about sexual preditors not how to have sex. Open your eyes, please.

Yeah, sounds to me like you're drinking the cool-aid. I'll address these one at a time.

    1) Off shore drilling is simply a political tool. Increasing production and investment in infrastructure for a non-renewable resource is a terrible policy decision.

Economic, political, and world power in the upcoming century will come from the country in the world that develops renewable energy technology first and implements it best. Increasing drilling for an energy source that we already know is on it's way out is a step in the wrong direction. In addition, I'm not really sure how "not drilling" equates to being responsible for increasing oil prices. That is just blatantly falsifying the very complicated macro economic changes of oil prices.

    2) Even all of the non-partisan research organizations have released statements condemning the recent attack ad's by McCain's camp suggesting Obama's support of a bill (that wasn't even passed in to law) was "teaching kindergartners sex education." That statement simply isn't true. Chalk another one up for the Rove propaganda machine.

    3) Abortion is a very complicated "hot button" issue, which I'm not even going to debate here, but the crux of the "Pro-Life" stance is simply about personal choice. The US government stance on this isn't going anywhere, regardless of who is elected.

    4) How much do you make in income a year? If you make less then 161k a year, you will save more money in tax under Obama's projected tax plan. Please do some reading on the issue here before making more blanket statements.

Uhg, I fail at not joining the political discussion, oops.

Ijust think I dont want some teacher who is paid to teach my kid to read and write, maths, history etc, to do MY job of raising my kid.. especially if its a government controlled thing..the same sort of government which promotes to teens to scrrew around but use a condom.. its ok.. abortions are easy... no responsibility.. and while my comment was a blanket statement it is info that was designed for K-12.. tell me what a 12th grader and a Kindergarden kid need to know the same info??? and why does a kid that is under 6yrs old need to know specifics on where they should and shouldnt be touched... all they need to know is that area or that sort of thing is off limits/NOT acceptable and move on.. details are overboard.. and besides the only thing wrong with that ad form the Mcain campaign is OBAMA NEVER got the bill passed so technically he hasnt done anything.. ha ha

let's face it the liberals are upset cause the fear is stirring as they know they are 'MORE' out of touch with the normal person then the right!! either way their is issues across the board in our Government and a vote for Obama is a vote for more Government involvement..

and I knew it would upset some...

either way... Obama will be bad for this country.. he knocks Palins 'lack' of experience.. well she has more experience being Mayor then he does being a 'community organiser'!!!

Thats a good point that you want to educate your children not teachers do your job. But for me its the same with science, for example some schools teach creationism that has little scientific base. So science should be science not religion class.
And what is so bad about condoms? You know that abstenince(sp) only does not work for most of the people and its better to have some kind of other safe alternative. Hormones are hormones we are simply animals and want to mate so for a lot of people condoms is the only way to not get pregnant. if you dont get pregnant no need for abortion.

^^ which is fine but you cant have balance if ALL you teach is Evolution.. and the liberals/left is the ones complaining about the unfairness doctrines etc... besides there has been plenty of Scientists who have changed stances over these issues but they are silenced or like typical media it isnt BREAKING NEWS so it gets hushed away..

Government is BS.. issues on both sides... but it is the lesser of 2 evils.. but that also then comes down to Moral stances...

nothing wrong with condoms.. they make great balloons... abstinence isnt the answer either as it is useless if you have NO SELF CONTROL.. again this is not a right or wrong thing.. you wanna screw around so be it.. I didt it in my early twenties.. I used condoms and I didnt.. its just like playing russian roullete though (pun intended)..

what I mean is if you wanna screw your brains out etc.. be prepared that this is you know ... how babies are made... so if it happens why kill it caue you dont want to be responsible...?? convenience isnt it...

but like Nate said.. the abortion is a touchy/tough subject.. I am against it... (obviously) as I have seen how amazing ahving your own children can be... but I also understand that there are many things that happen that arent right either.. ie rape.. but still why should that child be punished... I know of many peole who would have been aborted but were not and rose up to do amazing things.. see it is easy for you and I to say yes or no to abortion.. WE HAVE THE CHANCE TO DO SO.. we werent aborted ;) enough of this topic.. I dotn want any bannings around here...

and if we are simply animals then go F*** a dog... or a sheep... or a CRAB they are all animals... and a crustacian.. so where do you draw a moral value?? I mean a dog isnt driven by a Moral code.. so your point is mute...

Well, it's not like the world is "running out of oil" per-say. Oil is conceivably a renewable resource, it just takes hundreds of thousands of years for compressed plant matter to be converted into oil.

There are millions and millions of gallons of oil accessible for human development/mining. However, as we use more and more of it, it becomes less financially feasible. When it costs upward of $100 a barrel to manufacture crude from the oil muds of Canada, they will continue to do so, but it is a losing battle. Oil will continue to increase in price. This is a given. Pushing new drilling is like investing in a stock that is falling and a company you know will go out of business eventually. It's simply a bad idea.

Nathan, you're more then welcome to have your own opinion, that I certainly respect. However, when all you do is regurgitate the propaganda that airs on McCain ads and Fox news, that's when I need to chime in. So far, you haven't said much that shows as your own experience or view.

Just like your last statement. Even when stretching it, Palin has 1 1/2 years of real government experience. Being the Mayor of a 6000 person town in Alaska involves less politics then running a small college. In addition, Palin's record a Governor of Alaska is filled with the same cronyism and Christian guided policy decisions that have led Bush's administration to the lowest approval rating of a President ever. This NYTimes article has many, many details on this.

Yeah, abortion is pretty much a non-debate.

In my experience, I have found that it always comes down to one question, to which people on both sides disagree on. "When does life begin?" Some believe it is at conception, and see abortion as murder, and some believe it begins at birth (or shortly before, when a fetus can live outside of the mother), and believe they are protecting a mother's right to choose.

there is more and more crap coming out about palin and how unethical she is btw. She is bad for McCain, and the only people who are going to vote for McCain because of Palin are simply want a woman no matter if she is smart or qualified for the gob. If she is a good Christian and loves to hunt and not kill unborn babies she is good to run this country( and its very possible that McCain might kick the bucket any time).

and yes I am informed by right wing stuff... and my opinion is formed by the crap I am fed.. kinda like yours.. where do you get your info.. form the stuff that is published... do you travel and sit in on government meetings etc etc... no-one knows the truth as the truth is so washed around by everyone that anything we get is wishy washy... i would rather eeerrrr on the side of RIGHT then wrong.. er LEFT (sorry couldnt help it)

I do not know a lot about politics.. but I do know that I think BOTH campaigns need to hand over some of their stash to the victims of these storms etc... how many millions get wasted in campaigns and negative ads, when the country is struggling.. people cant put milk and food on teh table... hell i dont care if people cant afford to drive so much.. a lot of americans are fat overwieght pigs... the exercise would help them ;)

Gotta agree with this one. Personal Responsibility and critical thinking is what separates us from animals. I hate the "we're just animals" view, as it is far more ignorant than the "abstinance" view. Yes, teach kids that condoms will keep them from pregnancy and disease if used properly, but don't feed that bull**** about being just animals and the primal need to mate. Because that is utter horse****, all day, every day. If you go by that point of view, then you might as well just say "Hey, rape is all good too, we're just animals right? Animals don't ask for consent. Have sex with anyone or anything you want, whenever you feel like it."

At least it was not me this time. I think we should ban all the talks except cars and motorcycles and no EVO talk too.

So that includes economy, wars, education and anything that involves brans and educated opinions.

well so far it has been pretty civil and respectful.. FOR ONCE...

but I agree.. close it... there needs to be either a section that is for politics etc and if you dont want to be involved with discussion.. stay out.. yes its a car forum...

but if you want to be that narrow minded on a forum then delete anything thats for sale that isnt a car part ie tvs, horses, Britney SPears underwear.. or any video or picture that has a person in it as they are obviously not a car no matter how often they sit in a their garage..

Next time, don't post it if it has anything to do with politics at all. Everyone is responsible for keeping track of themselves. If they can't see the writing on the wall about the economy from newsprint, the internet or cable news networks, then they probably aren't going to change their views based on some kid's internet forum thread.
