Really guys the car may be totaled, the passenger of the other car was slightly injured and I hit my head but don't know where.
No that is not my fluid it is hers. The story goes as follows - I was on a side street waiting to turn left on to a busy street, I looked both ways and then followed the last visible car to my left to my right hand side to look for new traffic on that side. I started to pull out and then looked to my left and it was too late.
If there is a reason to smile reading this then that would DEFINATELY be it. Glad you and the other driver are okay and sorry to hear about your car. Is it just me or is there an abnormal amount of accidents with people on this site?
Honestly after I saw her car moments away from mine I couldn't tell you what followed in or outside of the car.
It just feels like things are shaken up in there is all no lumps or bruises. You know like someone hit you with a football or basketball.
depending on the actual jolt to your neck and head your head can hurt without banging it off of anything. But your neck is definately the thing to be more concerned about. Definately would be advised to go get checked out at the doctor.
Probably more to do with the fact that its the only make of cars we pay attenton to. Sorry bout the car chet, hopefully it can be repaired. Good luck man
Ouch, that sucks. I'm glad you're not hurt but like other people are saying, it's probably a good idea to get checked out. Anyway, I hope it all works out and this might be a good time to move over to the wagon side.
SOrry man...that looks pretty bad. First sign of pain, GO TO THE DOCTOR!!! the car can be replaced, your health cannot. good luck with everything, keep us in the loop!!! Aj
almost exactly the same way I totaled the ex's Escort. except I was looking to the left, just couldn't see the little buick over the snowbank. yours might not be totalled. as it looks like the wheel took most of the impact, so it's probably a matter of whether the control arm or crossmember gave first. my bet is on the control arm. take a good look at the frame rail ASAP. if it's straight, and the crossmember is ok. even if they do total it out, it might be worth buying back, buying new suspension for that corner, and calling it a day (and either pocketing the difference, or fixing the cosmetic damage too)
That sucks. Unfortunatly in anything short of a fatal/serious injury no one's going to put the time in to see how fast the other party was going, though a witness might help. Were you cited? Note that under MN state law a vehicle going even 1 mph over the limit gives up right of way. mn 169.20 (1) (D) The driver of any vehicle traveling at an unlawful speed shall forfeit any right-of-way which the driver might otherwise have hereunder. Actually, I'd recommend posting as few details as you can. People sue over stupid **** these days. Goddamn lawyers.
Ouch, that looked like quite a hit. Sorry to hear about the car and I'm glad that you and your friend weren't seriously injured. I agree, go get checked out! Keep us posted about the car situation.
Oh and Ben (Subytek) diagnosed the fluid in front of my car as being the other cars transmission fluid. More than likely when the two cars hit I got some of the other cars transmission fluid on my car. Hence the fluid only leaking out the front of my car, and through the bumper at that.
