um.. winter.. it is typically a really busy time for body shops... same as hail damage time.. mine was int he shop for 5 weeks getting the new roof etc... next time pullout in front of a truck.. that way it would be written off and you would be in a new one

I pay an extra few bucks (i think it's around $3) per month for rental car coverage. If I get in an accident and I require a rental car, my insurance company pays for it. Well worth in IMO. Maybe something to look into?

Possibly ... but with this accident, a speeding ticket, and a reckless (for not knowingly going around a barricade to get to Wendy's on Uni during Car Craft ) My insurance was getting normal but probably not anymore, also I think its time to jump ship to another company. Any recommendations? I have American Family and was thinking All-State or Progressive.

If fireman's Fund does work for MN registered cars, then them. You'll need an agent though, but honestly, the buy direct way is a great way for you to get way more or way less than you need anyway.
They're not the cheapest, but the rates are fair, they include everything you need (rental car for example), and are painless if you have an accident. Them or USAA if you qualify for USAA.
"Discount" insurance plans are great until you need them.
Oh and never plead to a "reckless" without talking to a lawyer, it is not really that easy to prove.

It was a disobeying police barricade on the ticket, but my insurance says it is a reckless ???

Well, see what it says here:
    http://www.courts.state.mn.us/default.aspx?page=1927

Did the officer check the "endangering box?" Was appearance manditory? Was it a misdemeanor (at least intially)?

It matters if your insurance company thinks you were convicted of something you weren't. You can change that if they're wrong.

if they were wrong and over charging you for insurance, they may cut you a check back for the over charges. happened to me.
