This is a bit of a throwback to this thread:
    http://mnsubaru.com/forums/showthre...-De-Icer-Question?highlight=heated windshield

My windshield was replaced with one that had heated wiper parking. I know I have the delete button on my dash and it was an option Outbacks and 03-04 Limited LGTs. What would it take to make this thing functional? Bonus points if you indicate part numbers.

Also, weigh in on whether or not you think it'd be worthwhile. Some people love it, many think it's absolute crap.

Eh, doesn't seem to do much on my 10 'lgt. If you can make it work on the cheap then go for it. I wouldn't put a lot of effort in to it.

Not worth the time or trouble. I wouldn't miss mine one bit.

No improvement on my 07 Outback either. Even with winter blades, it still sucked.

Meh... there are better things to throw your money at. Like heated seats.

With the incidental windshield acquiring I have a full winter package. I still need to wire in the seats and mirrors though. The mirrors and the LED turn signal retrofit are next on my to do list.
