You guys know anyone who will install an alarm w/ remote start in the twin cities area? The system is a Clifford 50.7x and it will be going into a MY00RS with an 07wrx swap. So yes it does have an immobilizer system but the key and antenna are always together tucked away in a secret spot in the car ;)...Let me know. The big shops are charging me more than what it cost for the alarm for an install. I bought it at Ultimate Electronics going out of business sale. Thanks

If you're a Triple A member, you get a discount on Geek Squad stuff. I had my Viper installed at EP BB's install bay for under $200, and dude was more than happy to show me how it works and stuff. Very positive experience.

he was probably hooking up the status wire there. its used to measure voltage or a change in voltage i should say. that way if someone tries to get in and step on the gas (thus inreaseing the voltage) the car will shut off. not really a big deal. i used to have to do that with some vehicles..... never ever had an issue. what happened to your friends car as a result of him tapping that wire?

My good friend does alarms/remote starts out of his garage in Maplewood. Dont let "in his garage" part fool you, he's a whiz with that stuff. I know he's an authorized Compustar and Astrostart dealer, but you could try asking him about your Clifford.

    His number is 612-298-2995 (Derek)
