Here's the deal. We're going to give it a try for 30-days. However, we need everyones help...seriously. If you notice any avatar that doesn't follow the site guidelines please let us know. We don't believe there will be abnormal problems and hope the feature will be used appropriately. Of course, we will do our best to keep an eye out for offenders. If ther was a concern it would be content. If you wouldn't show your mom or grandma, probably not safe enough for the site.

On a positive note. We're very excited to role this out and hope everyone has fun with the animated feature.

Due to the popular request for animated avatars we have decided to allow members the use of animated feature. This is a 30-day trial period. At the end of the 30-day period we will re-evaluate this feature and identify if we will allow them moving forward. If you choose an animated avatar you need to follow the site rules when adding the avatar.

The following items are not allowed on the site or in your avatar.

• Pornography or NSFW content (links or pictures).
• Swearing (includes dodging the filter).
• Vulgar, crude or other explicit remarks.
• Offensive names.
• Racial remarks.
• Religious remarks.
• Lifestyle remarks.
• Threats or overly aggressive behavior.

Again, this is a 30-day trial. If it's too much for the moderators and admins to monitor or if we run into frequent issues/violations we will disable the animated feature for all members. If the mods or admin staff do not approve of your avatar we reserve the right to immediately disable it.
Any member who violates the feature can be immediately banned from MNSubaru indefinitely.

Your animated avatar must follow the above listed site guidelines and not exceed 100000 bytes AND must not be any larger than 150 x 150.

If you have any questions or in doubt you need to ask a moderator or admin.

Thanks again Dave, and the other mods that voted in favor of bringing the funny avatars back.

Now everyone else lets show dave it was worth listening to all our complaining and follow the rules... I look forward to seeing the avatars transform the way the board looks.
