Just got my rear top strut bar yesterday, going to put it on myself...anything I should know?? Thx.. PJ
don't know, no name but a tag on the box read "subaru GC8 98-01"...got it as a gift!!! If it suck I am going to trash it....
A strut tower bar is only good when it's not bent. If you take your car to it's limits, you'll notice more oversteer with it than not. If you're currently at OEM suspension, your car came from Subaru with loads of understeer; so this peice will help neutralize the steering. A friend's brother's wife's uncle's mechanic's dad said that a bigger rear sway bar will be more noticable than a tower bar. In other words, put it in and see how well it feels like at the end. You'll need to take out the rear seats and work at the strut bolts to install it. It is a b*tch to fit it though. You'll need to also take out/move the coiled seat belt location before you can fit in the strut bar. It'll take about 1-3 hours depending on your tools. Good luck. You'll need it.
