Hello, I was wondering if we have any good subaru shop(s) that specializes in subaru's in general in the Metro area. Specifically I would like to do new tire(s) installation and a good alignment done for my 11' STi. Any help is appreciated. Thanks! Steve
Any tire shop can handle the tires. I have had good luck with Discount Tire on all my cars, and the warranty is worth the extra money. Alignment, just go to Morrie's MTKA Subaru. They have been good to us for over a decade.
Second this. Can be hard to get ahold of and he is moving to a new shop right now so he might be booked out a bit. But this is who I use.
Samaritan tire for both. Low car friendly, expensive wheel friendly (they won't **** your wheels up and if they do they will bend over backwards to make it right. had zero issues with multiple sets of tires on a 3,000 dollar set of Work wheels). They have two locations, one in Minnetonka and one in Edina.
I went to the one in Edina for my alignment and will be switching to them from discount tire after having issues the past couple times at discount tire (one guy almost took my bumper off not knowing about reverse lockout, the other almost burned out my clutch). JM is my go to for any other work that I can't/don't want to do for myself.
Just got my alignment done at Wright Tire in Anoka, they've been good to me and my family for over a decade now, and it was 62 bucks after tax to get it all done. Took about 1.5 hours.
I had the tech at the Plymouth Discount Tire burn my clutch badly once. Now, I never bring my any work to them with the wheels on the car. Always bring the wheels only to them to install/balance the tires. Still do this even if I bought the tires elsewhere.
That's a great idea! Never thought of doing something like that. I have them take care of punctures with the certification since its a good deal, but any other work I'm definitely done with them.
Thanks for all suggestions guys. Unfortunately I won’t be going to Minnetonka Subaru. My clutch was burnt the last time I was there. The tires off for installation is a great suggestion!
