I wanted to remind everyone about the TCMAS event tomorrow. I was wrong about the directions though. You need to exit on Cliff Rd and then head East. After a short while and going 'up hill' you will see the shop on the south side of the road.
Congrats on the new tank! Once I get some more work done in my basement, I hope to add something down there about that same size.
Thanks, Picking it up hopefully this Sunday...Heavy MF...Just got a 72" LED lighting (54 LEDS) Muahahaha...Gonna get some eco rox soon and get a refugium built by reefmania...hopefully he will give me someone discount...=X
It sounds like some nice parts. Reefmania makes some good things, I'm sure you'll be happy. I can't say anything about a discount but I wouldn't hold my breath.
I have to work during the tcmas meeting We should get a bunch of people that are into aquariums to come to UWA and I can show you guys around. It could be fun
Getting everyone together sounds like an interesting time. When you mention UWA, are you referring to Underwater Adventures? (you'll have to excuse me, I know entirely too many acronyms..)
Yeah, it's Underwater Adventures, we can't have too many people because then they'd probably try to charge you guys, but if it's just a few, I'm sure I can sneak us back there.
yes he does... you working today? i'll be in the snoopy doing some shirts till close.. you should swing by. or pm me your number and i'll shoot you a txt or something
What time do you work until tonight? I'm going to be there from 3-10ish. I have no idea where you are in the mall, so you should stop by because I have to be in the aquarium all night. So stop by and ask for Kelly or "Toad" because I'll be team leading tonight.
That could interesting, getting a look at 'behind the scenes'. After reading the last couple of posts, how many people work there at the mall?
I think there are just two of us. But I'm not sure. If you guys get bored tonight, stop by, I can show you guys around if I'm not too busy.
It's an idea.. right now though (after the week I've had) getting home and passing out are more likely..
Yeah, no biggy. I work all the time, so whenever you get bored, just send a pm. Have fun tomorrow at the tcmas meeting. I wish I could go :emo:
Well, I stopped in for a while, hung out for an hour. Wasn't bad and a lot of people showed up. I haven't seen the parking lot that full before.
I'm so jealous. I'm still at work right now and I got here at noon. And I'll leave at 9:30 :eek3: What is this about a tomato?
Works for me, I think I'm going to be setting up a sps 150 pretty soon. I was going over the list of things to buy and... :eek3: Oh crap. Here's the current list... Geo Calcium Reactor Aqua-c EV180 Skimmer Mag 7 Sequence Dart Sump plumbing 150+ lbs of live rock assorted plumbing bits Oceans Motions 4-way wavemaker I think that's it. So it adds up to around $1600 not including the liverock. But I'm sure I can get deals somewhere in there and cut the price a bit.
Once I'm setup I can share some stuff with ya...I actually have some equipment boxed up, you are welcome to see what I have since I'm starting over with my setup...As for LR...if you need some base rock U can fab u some...I've decided to go with Eco Rox for my main LRs @ $2.50 a piece u can't go wrong...I didn't see a 150g tank on the list so I assume u already have one? FYI- your picking me up right for the next meeting? haha
I was at the mall yesterday and was cutting threw camp snoopy I was going to stop by and see if it was you working but their was a crowd of people around watching so I just kept on going. I was also by underwater world but I saw no one working.
Ouch... I might be able to pick ya up... in a suby. We recently got into another snag with the car, my wheel lock key has disappeared (I probably left it at home or something) but we can't get the rims off to do the brakes, so I had to snail-mail a order for a new key. Hopefully it will be here soon and then we can have the thing driving. I'm picking up the tank and stand for a very very nice 100 bucks . I'll take a look into those eco rox. They seem very cheap and for base rock, why not?
I'd use them as my LR throughout my tank and as a base rock from the looks of these... $100 for a 150g and stand!?!?!
It's looking like it might just be a 75. But still, the tank and stand looked very nice and I think 100 is reasonable for just the stand
Wow. Just finally saw this thread. I used to have a little 25 gal tall show tank. Not very high-budget tho. I'll get some pics up soon.
Alright, got some pics. The pics where the Maroon Clown (Mandy) is lighter is when she was younger. Coral Beauty Angelfish was named Gertrude, because she was really shy, and acted old. Anenome was a Pink-Tipped Hatian. We had a Damsel (Spaz) of some kind, but he was a pain in the butt. We gave him away.
nice sihbbs, coral beauty are usually shy...mine hid everytime until feed'in time.. At least u now know we are here welcome to the Mnsubaru aquaCluB
tis a nice stand and tank... it's muh buddies... and i'm just glad it's going to a new home. hes kept that thing in immaculate condition. one giant carpet..... get one gigantic carpet.. and feed it small children... ((she really didn't like that comment LOL))
Dude, that was hilarious. I tell her stuff like that all the time just to get a reaction. Oh yeah, what kind of bamboo is that? Is it a young brown banded? Since we're showing some pics of tanks, I figure I'll show you guys what I used to have... 12G nano-cube with 96 watts of pc's The acro was an experiment, it was a brownout to begin with so I didn't feel so bad if I lost it. My 20L at school. I had to take it all down before it really matured because it was just too unstable (return wasn't big enough for the pump). Sad Sad Sad, that tank had serious potential.
lol, that lady was a lil tooooo happy nice person ... but .. wowo... LOL it was a banded cat shark.. cute little bugger.... till it ate a rock went through 4 of them. 2 jumped ship, one wedged itself in a rock. marshmellow I was sure was gonna make it.... then it snicked up a rock it thought looked tasty. stupid fish. I might go back to raising seahorses.
Wild Seahorses are unpredictable...Farm-Tank raised ones are usually better suited (not shy and they actually swim) Wild just hides behind the LR and good luck trying to find them... I had one that ate out of my hand...it was cool
just got this: $$$ was too good to pass up...and a titanium heater w/controller from aqua medic http://www.current-usa.com/recircskimmer.html Everywhere else including eBay was selling for $280-$320 +shipping. Got it for $160 shipped @ www.Marinedepot.com if anyone is interested...Not the best out there but, for the price/budget I'd try it out...
