I'm looking for someone to rebuild my 2.5XT motor which appears to have spun a bearing and am considering the folks who posted this CL ad .

Anyone know who this is and/or have any comment.

    TIA
    Ray

i saw that too, but was concerned about the fact that they do not list company name and a phone number. If i owned this business CL is the last place i would "promote" myself.

The name of the shop is Elite Motorsports. It is over on S. Concord Exchange in South St. Paul. 90day/3K mi. warranty on the work.

Anyone got any experience or comment?

Never heard of the place. I was thinking it was Elite Autosport, but that is a completely different shop and it's in Blaine.

humm spun bearing.....i remember seeing that.
I saw that when I took apart my EJ22T, also an EJ205, also an EJ257.
I've yet to see how my original EJ22E looks like from my '99 Impreza. I know it's bad, you can HEAR the LOOSE rod in there... lolz

so much to replace with your car in this case.
check that crank, better with a new one.
replace that oil cooler with a NEW one
clean out all the oil galleys in your block
take out all them filters on your AVCS and oil lines
check your cam journals for scarring
clean out the oil pump, oil pick up
check rods for roundness if it's severely heated, might need new ones
check pistons for cracks, replace with forged if you want
new gaskets and seals where needed

blend the valve seats and give it some Double D's since the motors out (I kid..I kid)
