**Copied from my thread over at the WatchUSeek Forums.** I have been into watches for the past 5 years, but never to extent at which I am now. Last week I got my first $500+ or as I call it "grown-ass-mans" watch (Halios Laguna) and I am hooked. Better/specific pictures available upon request. I will work my way left to right on the bottom (Nixon Row) 1. Nixon "Victor the Vector" - Dead Battery - Good shape $75 obo 2. Nixon "The District" - Great shape - new battery - Regular ware with no deep scratches - $100 obo 3. Nixon "The Agent" - Dead Battery - My first "project" watch.. I bought it without a strap and then sourced a strap off of amazon - $50 obo 4. Nixon "Rubber Player" - Rare-ish color combo - newest Nixon (5 months old tops) - maybe 12 wears max - $125 obo 5. Nixon "Revolver" - Dead Battery - First dress watch - Strap is a little worn - $75 obo Next I will work right to left on the top row (Halios is NOT for sale) 6. Timex "Weekender" - My chores watch - Great form factor when working around the house - $25 obo 7. Timex "Expedition" - Bought it for a camping trip - Used 1 time for a long weekend - $30 obo 8. Stuhrling "Original" - Bought this as a "nicer" than a Nixon - Worn a couple dozen times - $100 obo 9. Citizen "Night Hawk" blackout - Took this one in on a trade - Worn sparingly by previous owner (less than 10 times) and only 1 time by me - $225 obo BONUS 10/11. Lunatik "Chicago" Black and Brown - Bought these for a iPod I was gifted.. Turns out it was gifted after being ran over slightly and the iPod was not able to fit in either of these cases. More info here https://www.lunatik.com/products/ipod-nano/lunatik?variant=chicago-black Asking $75 obo for both Paypal is preferred method of payment. Interested in selling as a bulk or combo deals.. Will toss in the watch box if you buy 3 of the watches or will sell it for an extremely reduced price if you buy a watch and want it. I am also open to trades. So please feel free to make an offer.
Nice to see another watch collector on this forum. I recently bought a "decent" watch myself... Got a Hamilton. I have the itch again to buy another nicer watch for work, but not quite ready yet to drop thousands lol. I do kinda like that Stuhrling, but I'm guessing it's not an automatic...
I take that back... Prob is an auto. I'm not interested at the moment, but I do like the style. Glws!
It is an automatic. It is nice to know that I am not alone on here with this budding hobby. I actually have been eyeing up a Hamilton Jazzmaster to replace my current dress watch.
Im a big fan of nice watches. My dad got me hooked when I was growing up and now he and I have quite the collection of Bulova Accutrons (mostly from the 1960's). I also have a Tissot that I found in a public bathroom at a beach in Singapore a few years ago lol. I have had my eye on a few Hamilton automatics though...but that Stuhrling looks like a nice option to save my money.
Also happy to see more watch fanatics on the board. I just bought myself a tissot visodate after getting my new job. It was a tough call between that and a hamilton slim-o-matic.
Ya know, I keep seeing a lot of chatter about Tissot.. I should do some more homework. I am really drawn to Hamilton with their roots going back to WWII. Kind of a neat history there..
Have you guys heard of these watches? I found them randomly when looking for a place to repair vintage watches. They are located in NE minneapolis right by my house and apparently make their own watches! I don't know who's movement it is (I assume its swiss) but they look pretty nice for modern style automatics. http://www.padronwatchco.com/m/padronwatches.html
