    Thanks for posting this question!
I was wondering kind of the same thing but for my LGT. (although I know what the car will look like, and I like the 1" drop)......but what's the diff between the H&R's, and Tein for ride quality? I know Tein have an H and S spring and one is more sporty (i.e. rougher) then the other so I'd be looking for something a little softer like a stock spring. anyone have any experience with either brand... or both that can give some insight?

I'm mainly concerned with how the H&R's sit after they've settled. I know most aftermarket spring set-ups on STi's tend to sit lower in the rear. Probably going to do some spring modification before I install to get the best stance possible. Obviously, my first choice would have been coilovers, but i didnt feel like dropin the cash, and I happen to have an account that gets me a good deal on H&R...

    As for ^Zrxhooligan^
Not to sure about their particular springs for the LGT, but I have heard bad things about Tein, though I have a friend who has them on his wrx and has no complaints. The H techs are going to give you the most stock like ride while giving you a less aggressive drop (barely noticable), the S techs will be lower and more performance oriented. I've installed a lot of Eibachs and H&Rs and theyre both good quality, H&R's tend to be a little more sporty than the Eibachs, but then again, I've always had good luck with ride quality and fittment with Eibachs. But stance really depends on what springs are going on what vehicle. Honestly though, most aftermarket springs are hard to tell the difference between especially when not driving at ten-tenths...

Tein S-tech = **** tech. They like to kill struts.

H tech is the lesser of two evils.

I have h&r's on my 02 wrx... should be the same spring as your 04 sti. It sits pretty low for a spring imo, they have a nice firmness to them. They were good to me through Jay Cooke, even with no rear sway bar. Too bad you just bought a set, i just got my coilovers in the mail so mine will be coming off and up for sale. I think my favorite set of springs so far has been Swift's.

Thanks for the pic, the car looks great btw. Did the front sit a little high compared to the rear? The reason i ask is cus i plan on doing a little trimming on the fronts to get the stance i want. I really want to see them on an 04-05 sti/wrx

I love how u always have a helpful link for me! LOL

but no worries... H&R's have 2 dead un-weighted coils on all of their sport springs... Trimming them (correctly) only affects ride height, though voids their warranty (btw, this has been confirmed by an H&R rep, and ive done it to more than one BMW, who also suffer from saggy-butt syndrome like us Subi guys, so no calling BS on me!)

anyone with a better pic than these, on an 04-05:
