I'm thinking of picking up a set of these for the TL. I don't plan on driving it a ton this winter, but enough to justify getting an all season tire... (not enough to justify snow tires). Think these would be a good choice? I'm a bfg fan. http://www.discounttiredirect.com/direct/findTireDetail.do?yr=2004&c=1&sw=false&cs=235&pc=38534&rd=17&vid=008486&ar=45
I'm with you, I'd love to buy a summer set and a winter set... However I don't see that happening financially unless I buy one of the sets used.. I had g force sports back in the day and loved them... 03Pleiades, have you ran them in snow at all?
Look at the Goodyear Eagle F1 All-season if you want a high performance all-season tire, ranked #1 on Tire Rack.
"No-compromise year-round handling and performance" This maybe in the definition of oxymoron. Someone quick check the Merriam-Webster site ....
I have sold many sets of the BFGs. The one complaint i have heard (besides sucking balls in the snow) is that they are a little loud. I believe your car comes with michelin or dunlop from the factory. (cant recall on the TLs). So you will notice a difference in ride quality. However they preform a lil bit better the the OE tires. Quite a bit stickier tread.
I have these on my Wagon and they are great if you like a quite comfortable ride. The sidewalls are soft and feel a bit like marshmellows compared to our RE070's Bridgestones. Wet handling is great, I don't run them in the snow. Mike
