It is impossible to roll a car at the low speeds you drive. That's what I mean.

Just to get the full rally experience I changed the wheels on my car tonight in the dark, in the pouring rain.

Just need to run the engine tomorrow and burp the cooling system (and make sure it acutally runs, as it hasn't fired (maybe once?) since the last rallycross last year). And find some way to open the driver's door, some way to keep the trunk shut, install the battery, and the passenger side fender liner. Then load it up on the trailer and send it off to a neighborhood where people don't get all bent out of shape about a car sitting on a trailer overnight.

man i wish the old M2 Legacy was ready! M2 is alway more fun when the 7 is there. next summer i guess. buying a house is not conducive to playing in the dirt with cars.

that was amazing I had the best day I ever have...wish I would have been smarter early on but my last 2 runs were awesome I am confident if I had one more run i would have broke into the 30's..I realy started to get the course I learned from my mistakes and watching the way other people take corners..I learned to not be so hot into the tight turns, better to be hot coming out of them...and that made my runs way more smooth and made it eaiser to transition into different sections, I also started to use less braking and cretin areas..either way I am glad I came out...thanks to everyone, also thanks to jesse for helping me change my wheels and sunscreen for keeping me from getting burnt.

I made it out there for the last set. I had a good time and the spectators I brought with enjoyed it, so hopefully I can start weening them into the rally-x scene.

I took some pictures, not too many as I wasnt there too long. I will try and post some up in the near future.

it's funny how you were worried about scratching the paint at cannon falls and put a bunch of tape on your car and here were there is gravel and you could scratch your car, you leave it naked, I have severely scratch rear doors from gravel from another parking lot and I had rally armor on...

Well, I haven't washed it yet to check for scratches... The Plumber got a few scratches on his he showed me at the rally. I'll wait until I clean Red Sonja up and see the damage. Touch-up paint for the win, until I can get her buffed.

Yes, she is a Japazonian Warrior, according to my friends.:laugh::biggrin: (wiki Red Sonja if you're too young)

If you guys are worried about scratches, have dave (scooby02) - gearhead graphics apply rockblocker to your doors. we did it on my rally car on all 4 doors from the bottom to the body line at the top. works great - didn't even scratch all the way through when we rolled it

    Oh Snap!!

I think Dan got into her head by telling her something different was making noise or leaking after every runset!!!

Thanks to everyone who came out and ran, watch, and a huge thanks to those who worked without competing... or worked the whole time after they broke!

RA flaps are too soft to prevent anything from coming up to your doors except for a light mist. you should look into some new flaps that are stiffer. I would recommend fastline, but they arnt around anymore. might want to look into what boomer or gridlocked did for flaps.
