More of a topic of conversation maybe, but I happened to stumble across B&M's "Stick Shift" synthetic gear lube. I did some research for a while and couldn't really find much other than something form B&M's site saying that it's synthetic, 75W90, provides better lubrcation, and blah blah blah. Same stuff everyoene else says about their synthetic fluid...
Question is, does anyone know anything about it or use it? I've always hear good things about their "Trick Shift" auto trans fluid, wonder if this stuff is worth a shot I guess?

Are you thinking of putting it in your wrx? I tried synthetic in mine and it didn't shift very well. Far slower shifts with the royal purple synthetic compared to conventional. There is a thread on here about what works best in the 5 speed.

GET THE EXTRA-S from Morrie's Minnetonka Subaru!!!

    Seriously.

Its the best. I have synthetic in my WRX now, and while its just fine for every day use, the shifts ARE slower.

What I've heard is that synthetic is actually "too slippery" for the synchros in the WRX.

^ yeah I couldn't tell a difference shifting under 4000 rpm but over is where it sucked. 1st to 2nd at high rpms was painfully slow or would hit a wall and not go into 2nd. I might have some other issues since I tend to slam gears like it's a dirt bike but going back to conventional made it all better.

I wasn't necessarily going to try it, I was really just wondering if anyone has heard of it since I can't find anything out there about it. But it is good to know that synthetic isn't worth the cash for the trans, considering Royal Purple gear lube is $18 a quart.
    Thanks for the input guys.
