Right now, I'm looking to buy Tangled's '02 WRX in August, but until then, I'm looking at '04/05 WRXs, '04/'05 STis, and an '09 WRX.
http://www.carsoup.com/details/used...bWF4cHJpY2U9MTAwMDAmcmFkaXVzPTc1#.VTLAJ4o8KnP I just drove down to Rochester to we this car. It was nicer than expected. Super clean in and out. No rust. Small issue on bumper. 1 owner. 230k miles. I got the service records but they replaced a crap ton of the engine recently. Drove really nice. Idle at 700 or so. Not overly loud. Small issue my father and I felt was the wheel would chatter enought to notice if the wheel was not perfectly straight. I don't know much about alignment but my father said it could be more than alignment. It didn't really drift side to side. Other than that it was tough to not talk more about price. Love the color and the feel. Ac was not as cold as I would like. Fits in price range but miles miles miles.
So I went to two different dealerships to see their 06, 07 WRXs and both were sold less than 2 hours before I arrived. I smell a plot!
What a week. Saw a car on Sunday that I liked. 2004 with around 170k on it. Good condition. All checked up at a shop. Looked legit. $5k. Single owner. 1 super small amount of rust on one wheel well. Started the auto loan on Monday at Wells Fargo. My normal bank for the last 16 years. Tuesday: still waiting. Wednesday: underwriter needs vin. (They had it already) they also asked for proof that I was insuring the vehicle. You know the one I haven't bought yet. Ended up they were finally happy with proof that I have insurance on cars I own. Thursday: oh underwriter also needs the title. To the car I don't own. Sigh. Got the owner to make a photocopy of the title to fax. Sigh x 2. Friday: oh underwriter needs proof that the guy who owns the car has registered it before. Even though the title was in his name and he was the only owner of the car. Told the bank to shove it and apologized to the owner of the car for wasting his time. My credit was above 800 before this started. If I can't get a $5k auto loan how will I ever get a house?
Yeah, my friend has trouble getting any sort of loan from Wells Fargo. They don't like giving money away.
No, only 1 card with basically nothing on it. One other loan that will be paid off this year. Good credit and my debt to income is slightly better than average for loans that go through. Acoring to the banker. I am a member of a credit union. But they only have branches up north and I live south of downtown. Probably would have been a better bet. At least now I know.
We use Affinity Credit Union. They have a handful of metro locations. They would have given you the money same day.
I bank with Spire Federal Credit Union, and theyre around the twin cities. I think the farthest branch is in Princeton or something like that.
