I expel about a gallon of gas out of my ass on a daily basis. Probably only walk/bike a combined 30 miles throughout the day. It's not 80mph so if you whack that in half that's like a stage 1 STi.

So, a different question that pertains to Winter Gas. Does using winter specific gas during warmer days like we've been having make the fuel economy even worse? At this time i feel like i'm getting maybe 11-12 mpg. You can literally watch the gauge just drop when i'm bassing it.

I don't know but I believe the thinking is that winter blend has a lower knock rating than summer blend and also has a higher RVP.

The lower knock rating shouldn't make a difference as the ecu should compensate by pulling timing by adjusting the timing advance by a multiplier.

The higher rvp causes the gasoline to evaporate (marginally, it seems) quicker at higher ambient temperatures, but I wouldn't think it would make that large of a difference. You're talking about a 40% reduction in fuel economy there, homie. It's more likely that there's an underlying mechanical or tune related issue that's causing the drop. Start by data logging idle, cruise, and WOT and also start checking the condition and of the usual stuff like MAF sensor, iacv, air filter element, spark plugs, 02 sensors, etc...

    Does Bassing = Winning?
