So this just started last Thursday or so. I've heard the usual clunk from these cars that are known for but it seems it got worse. When I push down on the car when it is parked I can hear the clunk still, even over smooth roads the clunk is still being heard. I have stock suspension so I'm not sure what is going on.
It is only happening on that left passenger side only too.
Is this a bad strut or just the usual clunk getting worse?

Best way to find out is to pull it and check the strut for rebound.

Rethinking, you could pull the dust cover and try re-tightening the top nut before pulling it.

    Car, year, mileage, etc?

If its a gd STI probably just needs to be regreased...do both sides while you're at it. If its a wrx, impreza, etc, the strut is probably blown. Clunk(from strut)=blown (in most cases)

Same thing was happening on my 01 forester. Rear struts had no rebound at all. Ended up replacing all 4 with some dspecs. Now no more clunking.:)

In my case the stock/OEM sway bar links were the culprit. I switched them out to Kartboy endlinks and now have no more clunking.

Thanks for all the inputs guys, I'll see if I can get a diagnosis now to see what it really is.
