Helping a friend here. So they hit a pothole and bent the wheel. Take a look and let me know if you think it can be pounded out. (Sorry for the crappy pics, apparently the iPad 2's camera sucks) if its repairable, where would you bring it?

Honestly, gonna be cheaper to just buy another one if they are $200 a piece. The only place I know of in the cities that does wheel repair, doesn't touch aftermarket wheels.

I had looked into getting a wheel fixed on my old car, and they quoted me something like $300+shipping with a "friend deal" from a 240 guy I knew on the west coast.

Thanks, I called them and he wont do 19" wheels. He said a shop in Cali would probably do it, but I think thats about when buying a new wheel is cheaper.

Thanks guys for the info, unless I get another suggestion of a different shop that is local I will recommend that he just buy a new wheel.

If it still balances, and doesn't leak could probably keep using them.

If he's not going to get it fixed and planning to order one anyway, might as well give it a try? :bounce:

Yeah, sounds like fun, gonna break it down for him then give it a whirl. Kinda wish I had a blow torch and knew how to use it. Hahaha

Take it to Twin City Wheel repair! I hit a pretty bad pot hole two summers ago and my bent was way worst than yours. My wheels look brand new! $100 per wheel and they'll balance your tires out too!

So I brought the wheel to Twin City Wheel as suggested above and they did a great job. http://www.twincitywheel.com/

They told me how much it would cost me before anything was done and that's how much it was in the end. The tire that was on the wheel was not salvageable, but the bend/dent in the wheel is gone! So the experience was great, called me once they took off that tire and told me it was a loss, called me once the wheel was done and ready for pick up. (only day or two turn around) I have to say I felt like they took pride in what they do and the guy who did the work and rang me up wanted people to know that. I would reccomend their service/business all day. On to the before and after:

(These wheels will be for sale soon if anyone needs a winter set up for their Audi/VW etc. holla at me )

How much did they charged you? Looks like they did a great job there. Do you have more pics?

It was $85 for the one wheel. I think they would have mounted and balanced my tire back onto the wheel for a Total of like $100. I dont have many more pictures, but I will check my phone again. (the ipad ones sucked)
