Que? It's a secret where these open-to-the-public fueling stations are located? Do the owners not want to sell their product, or what? :coolugh: That's like saying that we don't give out information about where we buy tires or tint or corn flakes.
How bout you think of it for the obvious reasons  1) 110 is illegal to run on the street. 2) 110 is a niche product, not tires, tint or corn flakes 3) Now those who do buy it there can only hope more people show up at that gas station (on a cross street that isn't patrolled by police already...) and buy 110. Sounds genius! I have bought my share of gas cans from that place, but 99% of the time it was for my sled/dirtbike and I have seen a cop roll by everytime.
100 shouldn't be illegal to run on the street, the Shell gas stations on: 169 and rockford and the one just past 494 on 394/12 carry both 100 and 110, or a least they did, it's been a while since i've been to those. if your a gas station owner are you gonna tie up pumps with niche gas if nobody is buying it? or if your actually flowing a worth while amount of gas through those pumps? they make money on volume not the fact that they carry weird gas and have a sweet markup. a few station owners i've talked to had to quit carrying 93/94 because the distributors wern't pushing enough to make it worth while, wouldn't it be sweet if that happened to 100 and 110?. also, i believe the minnesota hotrod people have a substantial list of who carry's leaded/non-oxy/race gas throughout MN.
Same here. I use to have a special nozzle so I could pour it directly into my car, worked really slick!
Never said the cops would be called ... I love how everyone twists and turns words. Nevermind OP the Holiday on Nicolette and American Blvd is where most get 110 ****ing have at it! Ohh and to anyone that melts front O2 sensors, if you read this thread you were warned.
er, 110 is illegal? Why is it sold then? the cops are probably looking for street racers who think that race gas means they can race right out of the gas station ..
agreed! Chet, i filled up there once a week for almost a year without ever having issues. I used the same "special" nozzle as others have mentioned. No issues ever...and never seen a cop there...never! yeah, it's for off road use only...but i have an AWD subaru...so I can go off road:biggrin: therefore it's legal. (in my book)
:mercy::emo::mercy::emo::mercy::emo::mercy::emo: :mercy::emo::mercy::emo::mercy::emo::mercy::emo: :mercy::emo::mercy: :munching:
I'm not pissed over anything its just the same he said she said bull **** that goes on here everyday. Good for you Dave, all I said is that is a highly patrolled area ... not that ZOMG! The cops bout to get you!!!
AFAIK, there are not any stations down here in kato that sell 110 unleaded. 92 is hard to come buy unless you want to go to Kwick Trip :ugh:
there is a shell? station on 14 about half way to new ulm that has 93, the last station i know of in all of mn that still has it, and i'd assume not for long. until about a year ago the shell in st. petter had 93 too
There are non-street legal unleaded gases (either due to taxes or not having certain components required by EPA/local) for example, sunoco 104 unleaded is off-road only
I was unaware of the that Shell halway to New Ulm. It's really not worth my drive if I can't get it in the cities anyways. I tune on the fuel I get most of the time. The Shell on Riverfront is 91, and I can't remember what the BP by Happy Chef has. I haven't had to buy premium since my car got the can-opener treatment in August.
your right "It's not like you're running sulfuric acid" It's not that bad  Man ^ that made me laugh which is good with all this serious gas talk
my bike liked non-oxy more. It was an '02 and was carb'd. I like BP, but its just preference. My buddy's parents own one, and I just like that their tanks are smaller and are refilled more often. The reason behind that is their place is near water level. To me the big things with buying gas is that its fresh, and has had about 12 hours to settle since the tanks were stirred by new gas. I dont want anything that on the bottom. Also, I had two friends buy gasoline from the Freedom station on cr 101 and hwy 7 before the weather got cold in Jan. Both in newer cars. Both had gas lines freeze from high water concentrations in their fuel. Isnt this around the 10th thread on gas we've had in a year? lols
non-oxy for us mound peoples was always found at the Holiday in Navarre. intersection of 19 and 15 on the side with culvers.
I fill up my car with 92 at the HOLIDAY across the street from me. I had it tuned with a full tank of that and have no problems. I think though it's nice to have the tank full of what you intend to use when you get it tuned. I don't think there's anything wrong with Holiday's gas.
I stopped by the BP in Almelund this morning and found they now carry 110 oct "Racing Fuel" in addition to their non-oxy fuel!
Because if you are willing to lose a bit of power, you will pick up much better mileage?? That is why I run it. Same cost and about 4mpg better than SA. The only BP around me NEVER has any cars at it. I drive past it 2 times a day and MAYBE see one car a WEEK getting gas. Russ
just for a bump... what are the pros & cons of: non-oxgenated gas or gas the can or does contain up to 10% enthanal?
Yes, What is the deal, Non oxginated will give you less power and better mileage (which isn't why I have a turboed car) how much less, I won't think it's even noticable.... premimu (92 Octane) can have up to 10% ethanel more power worse mileage but once again is there really much of a difference? (The only reason I bring this up is: Two good friends, One delivers/ drives gas trucks for a living, the other is a auto mechanic of 20 years. They both prefer the Non oxginated gas because it "better" for you car??????
People buy what they want to buy, if the non oxy is the same octane as the premium I buy the non oxy, if the non oxy is a LOWER octane then premium I buy the highest octane. (actually I run regular in the subaru during the week, as it doesnt get beat on at all)
