Hello... I was wondering if anyone would like to share their opinion on lowering springs and turbo back exhaust systems, You know like Price VS Performance. I just bought a 09 WRX so Im looking to start modding sometime soon while keeping my warranty....I hope. :) Thank

Springs SPT, exhaust SPT. Performance and factory warranty = win win.

Hmmmm yeah I still stand on the spt/sti springs. As for the catback well companies are working really hard to make them for the new chassis. The TurboXS one for the Hatch sounds MEAN though!!

I think I read somewhere that our 09's spring rates are stiffer than the sti pinks, or atleast similar. Let me see if I can find it somewhere...

also, Check out 3gwrx.com theres alot of info over there specific to the 08/09 wrx/sti.

Mods and warranty do not go together.

You pay to play. Subaru warranties a stock car, not a modified one. A catback won't change anything with the car. A turboback + flash will. Chet's advice to stick with the SPT springs and catback is a good idea if you're concerned with having a warranty.

That being said, if you throw a turboback and flash on the car and your window regulator goes out it'll still be a warranty item within the coverage period. If you burn up a piston or spin a bearing, that's most likely going to be on you.
