So my outbacks rear U-joint is going south creating an annoying vibe in the car. Is there a cheap, fast local, option? Not that those ever go together. More like pick two.

Subaru says they can have a new one in two days, but then it is unserviceable. Rebuilt one would be a couple weeks it seems. Let me know if there is a shop locally that can giterdone.

    Try:

    ProvenForce(AKA Clutch and U-joint) www.provenforce.com/‎

Or AA Driveline in Anoka http://aadriveshaft.com

Both should be able to give you all your options.

You can replace the staked in u-joints and replace the center bearing on the OEM driveshaft, There is a thread on SF.org on the process.

Gave both of them a call. Neither had anything instock and Proven said they would need to send mine out. IE 2 week turnaround time.
