Could try Ebay. Bought a fob for a Jeep once cheap and it worked!

Got my fob on Ebay. Worked perfect. Was like $20 after shipping.

EDIT: The fob was for an 02 WRX. Not sure how much more sophisticated the 06 fob is. Might be more expensive depending. But Ebay usually has them all.

Ummmm, there are people on this forum that work for the dealership in parts and they will give you a discount. Try sending a PM to "AWDImprezaL" and asking how much it would be for a new one. You may find that Ebay is more money. Not making a guarantee on that, but it's not going to be nowhere near as bad as you're thinking.

Mr L and Bielke55 have worked very hard to provide us with the best possible pricing, so please give them a try first before making assumptions that it's going to be too expensive.

Yeah, about a thousand times this. I've paid thousands of dollars for parts at Morries MTKA Subaru over the years because their member prices are often times better or competitive with eBay and other discount places. And by competitive I mean, the final price after shipping is worth me driving to the dealer to just get it and pay the 1-2% extra to get it local and same day. Notice how many people in here already said "dealership" as their answer? We aren't a bunch of idiots that don't know what the internet is, dude. We all know how to comparison shop. Morries MTKA is consistantly better pricing than alot of places.

We need a "Lurk Moar" smiley.
