    Gotcha.

I'll swing by your place this summer with the wooden blocks and a floor jack ;)

I know the combo to the garage door. So I'll beat you to it.

I've got a universal key that should work just fine.

I'm gunna throw my two cents in here and say take a look at the sumitomo HTRZIII's and the potenza RE760's.

Both are really good summer street tires. Neither are directional so you can rotate them crossways, both have a good wear rating and a fairly comfortable sidewall. But they're still good summer rubber with a good summer tread pattern. Also, they aren't very expensive. :)

They can take anything you can throw at them on public roads, but aren't quite up to the task of track or autox use. IMHO, they are the best tires you can get for DD summer use if you aren't looking to compete on them.

another vote for the Ecsta SPTs. I ran them last summer, and they were very good to me. put a bajillion miles on them, including about 100 while AutoXing. still got another summer in them (probably. got a thumb tack in one right before switching to winters last fall....hopefully it can be patched). I did get them to slide a couple times while dry, but only while driving REALLY hard on cold pavement. I was also very impressed with the wet performance. better than any All-season I've used.

IIRC my set of 4 215-45r17s cost less than $300.

and, if you've got a little bigger budget, there are like 3 other models of performance Ecstas. and they only get better. I think I'm going to step up to the ASXs or SPTs next time around. maybe even MXs (I've got a buddy who runs MXs on his Mustang while Autocrossing, and it sticks like mad!)

I picked up a set of KDWs to replace my stocker RE92s on my STi BBSs (a *lil* stretched) this summer. Looking forward to the change.
