WHOOO HOOOOO, Ignorance is pure, unadultered bliss. The MPR non-biased thing has to be the single dumbest thing I've read on the internet all week. Public funded, what public? It just means they don't collect all their money from ad revenue, it doesn't mean special interest groups don't bring a heavy hand to the negotiation table and dictate what is broadcast in exchange for funding. Try listening to all angles of the news and form your OWN opinions. If all you listen to is MPR, then you are NO BETTER than some Fox News junkie. Time to drop anchor on the Failboat. MPR unbiased? Seriously? Neither are Rush Limbaugh or Ann Coulter, then. Their articles are carried in many liberal-biased newspapers so therefore they must have balanced views to be printed in such liberal papers. Next you're going to tell me that we should Free Tibet because they've always been an independent nation and the Chinese are holding them hostage.
Or because all the idiots I see everyday wear the t-shirts. China should lock down the territory, arrest every person between the ages of 14 and 25, and give them a stern history lesson. edit: Ooops. Tibet is a territory. Not a country. My mistake. And the world at large has every right to tell China how to handle their territories.

The government that 'lies' to you also allows you to live in this country for free and get a level of education far better than one available in your home country with less chance of getting dead via the mafia. The Corporate America you hate allows you to buy decent products for less money than anywhere else in the world. I've also traveled the world. I also go to school. I also have seen the poorest of the poor and the richest of the rich.

You provide statements about the US government without any backing. Have you ever heard of a fallacy? I would think so since you've probably taken philosophy class or two. If I went to Russia and started making statements about the government I would expect to be treated like you are here since I would have very little backing to my arguments. Seriously, you need to stop using this argument. Anyone who's lived here can tell you that US college students tend to be some of the most ignorant, unintelligent, sideshow, down's syndrome people by density in population. Also, just because someone doesn't go to college does not make them unintelligent. Additionally, just because someone is in college does not make them experts in all issues. And yet you portray yourself like you've got no idea what's going on or how things work at all. I'm so confused. Are you a Political Science major? Philosophy? Is your father a Senator? What? Where does your political fact come from? MPR?
thats a pretty strong and broad statement there. Not every liberal arts school is weak. what I also think is funny is the general extreme levels of disillusionment in sources of information spread in threads like these but the lack of any backing up of where these disillusioned with all media people are forming their viewpoints from.
