ok I was lurking around the duplicolor web site and they have a new color in the metalcast line called "smoke" I'm gonna paint the stockers black and layer the smoke metalcast paint over it to acheive the hyperblack look. Thoughts??

I hate how gunmetal looks on silver, I'm not doing it. I'll make an attempt at hyperblack.

The blood red is awesome, it do without the red angel eyes and the red stickers. The wheels and intercooler painted in blood red would look sick!!!

I swear to ****, if I see you paint your wheels black with red lips on a silver car, I'm going to paint my wheels flourescent green.

Hmmm, I'm really liking that orange on white. And the deep red on black is just incredible. Not sure about how it would look on silver, though.

I'm going full Royal Sport Bronze rattle can style on my 07 WRX rims. Thinking I'll have a shop bead blast them first and spray them myself. Will look hot for the winter on an Urban Gray Metallic car.

tried a few test sheets with the black and smoke and graphite in about 8 different combos and nothing turned out like I wanted them to so I'm gonna go for the semi matte black of the lotus exige wheels instead.

Any chance one of you Photoshop gurus could work your magic on a picture of my car to make the wheels and numbers/class letters orange ? And not the orange of the cone in the picture, but the orange from this image...

I'm kind of curious to see how it would look.

    Cheers,
    Stuart.

I tried spraying some "hyper black" this weekend and it didn't really turn out how I expected. I tried laying a flat black base with a smoke overlay and it just turned out more gray than black.

Next I tried gunmetal (duplicolor) with a smoke over lay and it just looked like really dark gunmetal.

Lastly i tried a flat black base coat and a super light gunmetal dusting over the black and progressively darker coats of the metalcast smoke spray. That came close but doing a whole set of 4 wheels would be hard to get uniform and it still just looks grayish black and doesn'r have the depth I want.

Guess I'll see how gold on silver will look and or semi gloss black.

ANyone wanna chop these wheels in gold to see how it would look, please.

yeah, you really don't have to bake them if you let them dry a few days before mounting, I'm getting it done tomorrow so I wanted to hurry the process a bit.
