Ahh, I see my problem,. I was looking at the specs for the 2001 Swift, not the 1989. I think I managed to mix up the year with the Hyundai when I was doing the search. 100 hp with a stock curb weight of just under 1800 lbs with everything in it. Not bad at 18lbs/hp.
Mark, you have any idea as to why when i registered on the new site for the event that it said $15 due?
Never thought I'd read that someone preferred the POS system I cobbled together years back! The new system has worked well for me, especially with regards to credits.
Meh, i'll just show up Sunday and pay in full. If i have to pay $70, i guess that it is what it is. And yes, i prefer your cobble.
Josh, I'll look into that with Carrie. As for mud, I think it's gonna be dusty, unless we get more rain. Just talked to the owner today, and he said the land is looking pretty good. Like Mark said though, too much mud, and it becomes not so fun (that particular surface gets real slick). Less than 24 hours to sign up early without having to pay the late penalty! We need at least 15 signed up by tomorrow night!
Skid plate is mounted and I am registered! Cant wait to play in the dirt again. I might be bringing some first time spectators down. Hopefully I can get them hooked ;-)

The deadline on the site has been chaned from 5pm to 11:59pm, so you can still get your registration in. Someone get us to 15!
Well u see, I really just don't want to come out there for the first time with my stock '84 GL wagon and show such fantastic times that I take away the glory from everyone else... I mean, have u ever seen tangledupinblu cry?.. Not a pretty sight, his mascara starts running everywhere... Lol. No, but fer reals, the wagon will run the track eventually but she's not quite up to it yet. Still needs some kinks worked out here and there before I put that kinda stress on her. She is my daily driver and I can't afford to have her non-operational. But she will be making the trip to see the festivities first hand. ;-)
They have all seen my tears...we're basically all family here. Usually they hand me some tissues to wipe my mascara. I told Sheen about your thought of rallyxing the g-wagon lastnight and he thought that it would be a bad idea because of it's age and the difficulty of finding parts and whatnot to fix it. I'll just have to let you codrive the RSVX one of these upcoming events.
What does Sheen know about Subarus?! ;-) I agree with him... For the moment. It will rally... eventually... I think the hardest part to find for the car is a stereo wiring harness diagram. Lol
Aw snap! You know, if my MacBook logic board hadn't just crapped out I'd prolly have to buy it. Although it should be mentioned that a lot of the parts are not really interchangeable. Different engine, slightly different body and such. But man!, low milage on that one...
Sorry I can't make it out to this one. I'm still tinkering with the Swift to have it ready for the Ojibwe rally coming up in a month. Not to mention a little down time with the family will be nice.
We will be heading down a few minutes after 8am from South St.Paul by 52 and 494 if you are going early. Otherwise, my brother (J-5) will be heading down a little later if you are just spectating.
ya I won't be going down that early the earliest I can be down to the cities it prob about ten so if your bro wants to meet up then that would be sweet

Great day at the rallyx today, thanks to everyone who came out even with the little bit of rain in the morning, and a special thanks to all the organizers for volunteering their time to make the event happen
I was pretty worried when I left the house this morning, with all the rain. But as soon as we got to Cannon Falls, it suddenly stopped. And the course held up great, with very little needing to be changed. It was really awesome seeing all the new people out and how much they loved it! Everything went extremely smooth, except maybe for The Plumber trying to take out some course workers . Can't wait for the next one, and it's coming up fast! August 11th at the same site. Stay tuned for details to be posted soon (Mr. Storlie, I'm looking at you)! Also, I got some good GoPro footage if some of the media guys out there want it to splice in with what they have. Excited to see the photos everyone got! I saw at least 3 photog people out there. Post up pics here or in a separate thread in the "Photo/Video" forum and link to it here.
