    They most likley were not in an unlimited class. You can enter just about any car in time attack, but I guess I'm talking about no comprmise cars, that are built to tare up a track, whos exhaust sound tractor like and whos tires are far to gummy to run on a daily basis, thats what I'm talking about.... and if that describes your car, than you are driving an impractical pile... and your car could take advantage of some nice light wieght carbon fiber. If you are Tracking a mildly modified street machine, then I think carbon fiber is an asthetic flare.

    You have peaked my interest.

    I don't know what kind of time attack cars you typically see then, but apparently our worlds don't cross over. But you're entitled to your own opinion, no matter how wrong and ill informed it may be. :biggrin:

    Thanks;), all I'm saying it that unless your car is a track prep balls out RACE car, the benifit of carbon fiber is marginal at best. Alot of kids who put CF accessories on their cars would have been better off spending the money on higher quality light weight rims.... or a titanium exhaust.... or a light wieght battery, these things would make more sense then replacing a lightwieght alum hood with a heavier CF hood. Fact is most people who use CF components won't see any performance gain unless it is an areo part that improves downforce or drag eff.

    Just my miss/illimformed impression.:laugh::laugh:

    and the people that buy carbon for its good properties, normally are dropping weight everywhere they can and aren't going to do it for show. all the weight you can drop adds up, believe it or not, a few pounds here and there adds up quicker than you could imagine.
