I am looking to buy a boost gauge and was wondering if anybody has any feedback about the GlowShift boost gauge.? The price is cheaper than most($80) and has the red color option and comes with a dash pod, but wanted to make sure its not junk.
I had some glowshift stuff, never got to install it though. The pieces looked good. And go online and read some reviews. Most of the reviews from people that actually used them are good. There's alot of "dude, don't buy ricer junk, buy <insert premium brand>." But 99% of those are from people that haven't used or purchased those products. Personally, I wouldn't waste my money on Defi gauges as there are plenty of brands out there that aren't no-name brands like GloShift, that do a good boost gauge but don't charge you 200 damn dollars for them. Autometer has been doing it for years and make plenty of boost gauges.
thinking of getting this set up http://www.hptmotorsports.com/unive...ts/stri-x-line-v2-smoke-lens-52mm-gauges.html http://www.hptmotorsports.com/subar...l-52mm-gauge-pod-for-2008-12-wrx-and-sti.html
That is what I have now. I love it at night, but my location has major glare issues during the day. My next boost gauge will not be an evo. I had the cheap ProSport gauge in the same location before and did not have issues reading it during the day. The Evo is a good gauge, just make sure that you have a location out of major light if you are going to use it. An SMY cluster may be better than where I have mine setup. It is near the A-pillar.
