boost leak and gmbcs

    just wonderin if anyone wanted to help me check for boost leaks(never done it before) and help me install my gmbcs before i get my tinkletoon on saturday?!? im fairly positive i have a leak somewhere...thanks to anyone thats willin to help!

    ill help ya out if you need an extra hand man. do you have a boost leak tester? if not you can make one from home depot for $20

    I dont think you have a boost leak. I think your car just has a crap tune. You were boosting the amount you said you are supposed to.

    Indeed, if you are really worried, maybe put another washer in your BOV, I know mine is pretty finicky, and we have the same bov.

    so just take it apart and add a washer or two?!?

    yeah cuz i can def. hear a high pitched whistle almost supercharger like when the boost builds...but i def. do hit peak boost...

    ooh....well then, maybe your turbo is on its last leg.... Turbo whine is usually a bad thing.

    hopes not but you'd think that it wouldn't hit full boost then...and ive heard this since june or so.. when its cold out the car pulls like a champ but when its not it bucks like on the dyno...im thinkin ****ty toon

    BUMP! well im gettin off work late tonight so shibbssssyyppoo cant helps me...so i have my toon tomorrow at noon....anyone that can help me install gmbcs before hand?!?!? be much appreciated i'll buy breakfast/lunch

    It's very easy to install, only takes around 30 min. Just bring the BCS in when you go get hosing so you get the correct size. The install is only three hoses and two wire taps. Take a look at Shibbs' tutorial in the tech tips area for instruction.

    Its 5-32" hose. :)
