I need to do some brakes on my 02' Wrx. I was just wondering what brands and such people have had good luck with. I.E. "Wagner, Brake Best, Oem(usually the best and most expensive)... etc." I need pads and rotors. Just want to know if anyone has had problems of new rotors warping or and new pads squeaking. Thanks for any input you may have.

Isn't the usual answer to this, "Call Frozen Rotors in Savage" ? Cryo rotors and Hawk pads are a popular combination.

Up front it is a small fortune, but it pays for itself many times over if you keep the car for any length of time. We do get a group discount at Frozen rotors (usually 10% and up to 20% during my big group buys). I have seen the cryo treated rotors/pads get over 100k on the set and the rotors still had plenty of life in them.

I once bought a set of Hawk HP+ pads from them, and found the price to be comparable to anything you'd find online. They had what I needed in stock, and I didn't have to pay for shipping.

I've always been willing to spend a little extra on keeping the brakes well sorted. Of all the things on the car that I don't want to let me down, I think brakes comes top of that list.

I did a full set of cryo treated Frozen Rotors with HPS pads and was quite pleased. Very nice to work with also...

+1 from me too on this and Frozen Rotors. I have their slotted cryos, Hawk pads, brake cylinder brace and SS lines. 30k so far as a daily driver and other fun activities and no complaints at all. Still had plenty of front pad at the snow tire change out time.
