    Hello!

Just removed my glove box to replace my cabin air filter and.. it's not there. Am I wrong in thinking I have one?? 1998 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport 2.2L EJ22.

You won't have one if you're '99 or earlier IIRC. I also don't have one in my '99 Legacy

I just changed the cabin air filter in my 2017 WRX and it was filthy. I used an extra 3M Filtrete furnace filter and cut out a piece the same size as the stock filter and stuck it in the slot above the blower. Since the OE filter is attached to the cover, I cut it out with a Dremel and it closes over the DIY filter I made. The furnace filter is a pretty good high filtration type so we will see how it works out.
