So I was looking at my silver trunk wing today on the 05 STi... and I have had thoughts about wingless, and also thoughts about a swap with someone else that has the low standard wrx wing/spoiler...but then there is the issue with matching color or finding an exact match, etc. Anyone with an STi notice how the wing seems to have a spot where it disconnects like a third of the way up on each side? It also looks like there are screws on the underside. Just wonder, because if it came off clean and you could put something on the tops to cover the screw holes, that wouldn't look half bad. Somewhat of a unique new type of wing maybe--the top would be off, and then there would be the part still on the trunk with slightly raised pieces on each side. ??? thoughts. Anyways, just talking out of my a** here, but kind of curious if its possible or if anyone has ever done that. I kind of want a smaller setup on the trunk, as long as I seem to be holding on to the car.
Yeah, I believe I have seen that on Nasioc. I'd take a look there to decide if you like it. Somewhere I've also seen different upper sections....
I've seen the cars on nasioc where they took the top half off and covered the holes with plates. It looked absolutely retarded. I mean that in a bad way, for those of you that think 'retarded' means 'cool'
I might have to take a look at those pics. Wasn't sure how it would look. I dig the wing, but some days I wish I had something a bit lower profile. Probably still selling it unless I start making the big bucks, but we'll see in the meantime.
